Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. to run for Libertarian nomination for President

Oh, sorry, my mistake -- that's not Rev. Wright, that's former Congressman Bob Barr (R-GA) who wants the Libertarian nomination.

Back during the Clinton impeachment, when blacks loved the Clintons and hated Barr for helping get Bill impeached, black radio talk shows would be flooded with calls saying things like, "Barr is passing. My cousin told me he's his cousin's cousin." And if that's not proof, I don't know what is.

Barr must be kicking himself now over the fact that he didn't hop on this whole mixed race = racial reconciliator shtick decades ago instead of just positioning himself as another boring white guy.

LOL! You actually fooled me. For a second I did believe it was Wright.

I hope Barr gives those thouroughly disgusted with McCain (like myself) an opportunity to cast a "protest" vote.

I simply cannot bear voting for either McCain or Obama. I think the MSM really gamed these primaries to get this result, and I imagine a couple of years in the Obama presidency all those college kids, then young adults, will be feeling buyer's remorse for casting a vote to reflect light on themselves.

what do you think he is an eighth black? perhaps....he does look strange...

I thoroughly approve of half black candidates. That's why I'm writing in Tiger Woods.

Just as much relevant experience and a better personality.

I've met plenty of Scotsmen with Barr's looks: rugged features and thick lips. The name is Scottish, BTW.

As for Wright, no doubt he's a high-yellow "Black". He must have been called names by other darker Blacks when growing up.

Barr's run is great news. I hope he gets enough steam to suck the air out of McCain's run. If there's a 3rd party candidate to blame for McCain's loss, then the Conservatives won't have the convenient excuse of "it was the Obamessiah's time, nothing we could do."

Excellent. The Republican leadership must be punished. If there's no cost to their perfidy, they'll perpetuate it.

Yeah, but we're always the ones who end up paying. Whoever loses will sulk awhile and then shuffle back to whatever fabulous life he or she was living. Whoever wins will force us to fight off some combination of national health care, open borders and a massive, intrusive federal government.

There has to be a better way to elect a president, other than the two year, twenty million dollar slog we've got now.

Wright is overcompensating for being a rich high yella kid with black establishment parents in Philly. Worse, his mother was a school administrator. Even worse, she was the school disciplinarian. Moreven worse, his own father was a high-toned upscale preacher.

As a high yella member of the Philly black establishment, he was a classic overcompensating tragic mulatto. He knows his white blood taint perpetually keeps him from being a real black man. It indicated status in Philly, but not since the Black Power days.

His deep unease at his white ancestors pops up in weird ways. He says that Jefferson "raped" Sally Hemmings, for example. He cannot face the fact that Sally probably wanted upscale kids and really didn't worry about marriage. Being into race purity like Wright is a much later development in black consciousness.

I'll tell you this, friends, if you ever get to know high yella black folks, you will occasionally find Wright's tortured attitude: "It musta been rape! No decent black woman would have ANYTHING to do with a white man! Not MY mama!" (Neglecting, of course, all of recorded human history to arrive at this race-pure conclusion.)

Other high yella folks aren't anywhere near as conflicted as Wright. They tend to enjoy their white heritage, research their white roots and point out their illustrious white ancestors (but not around white folk, of course -- too embarassing).

Nah. Wright has it bad. At least since the Panthers and black power, he feels compelled to make excuses and blame his own white male ancestors in an attempt to deny their very existence and his great-grandma's taste for white meat.

Exactly right. Punishment at the polls is seemingly the only stimulus that can alter a politicians actions. If McCain loses, it will not change him (he's too old a dog to learn new tricks), but it will be an object lesson to other purported conservatives.

If McCain wins it will destroy whatever is left of conservatism in the republican party.

Hell, bro. We got all that now! I'm sure it can be worse, but the markets telegraph concern much more heavily than votes. That's what really de-railed Clinton's health care plan.

Having both Congress and the WH in Democratic hands is worrisome. OTOH, an Obama presidency will be such an incoherent, PC/multicult cluster-you-know-what that it will probably pass after four ineffective years. Kind of like the Carter interlude before Reagan.

My other prediction is an Obama presidency ends with two-thirds of HUD, HHS and Education under indictment.
