The NFL brouhaha involving two teammates on the Miami Dolphins -- in which a thuggish white named Richie (cue Geoffrey Holder) Incognito (6'3", 319) is accused of hazing and bullying an upper middle class half-black named Jonathan Martin (6'5", 312 pounds) -- is a cornucopia of iSteve fixations.
For example, Martin is the son of a white woman and a black man with a Harvard degree. Sound like anybody? Martin attended the top prep school in his region: not Punahou, but Harvard-Westlake. That's a school that comes up frequently on iSteve for multiple reasons: it was my debate team's arch-rival, it's not impossible that my son lined up against Martin in a football game in the mid-2000s, it's the alma mater of the NBA Collins twins, most notably, Jason Collins), etc. etc.
Martin went on to play football for Stanford. One observer noted:
“Before, [Martin] wasn’t around Nebraska [Incognito's college], LSU kind of guys. He’s always been around Stanford, Duke, Rice kind of players,” Eumont said. “In locker rooms full of Nebraska, LSU, Southern Cal players, Miami players, they’ll look at this as a weakness."
I may have mentioned Stanford, Duke, and Rice once or twice over the years.
I can identify with the apparently tattoo-less Martin more easily than with the heavily tattooed Incognito, but one iSteve-connection is that the acne-prone Incognito, who has a long history of bad behavior, has been accused (without proof) of being prone to 'roid rage.
Of course, what makes this locker room story a national media obsession, on the other hand, is that it's another racial man-bites-dog story, like the Duke lacrosse story or the KKK running amok at Oberlin. In this case, it's a low class white bullying a high class black: Bull Connor hosing down Dr. Martin Luther King, that kind of thing that's so beloved by the dominant worldview.
In contrast, consider Michael Jordan punching, say, teammate Steve Kerr in the face to, uh, encourage him. (Kerr is from the rarefied class of Protestant American Arabists -- his martyred father Malcolm Kerr was president of the American University of Beirut.) Does that make Jordan a bully? Of course not! That just proves that MJ was the Greatest Competitor Ever.
But, but, but, Incognito used the N-word! And that's all anyone needs to know.
Of course, in the real world, it all turns out to be much more complicated.
Armando Salguero writes in the Miami Herald:
Incognito considered black in Dolphins locker room
... ESPN analyst and former Dolphins wide receiver Cris Carter has know Mike Pouncey [the Dolphin's black center, who played next to Incognito and Martin on the offensive line] since the player's childhood. Today Carter said on air he recently spoke to Mike Pouncey and the center, who is Incognito's friend, addressed race.
"They [the Dolphin players] don't feel as if [Incognito's] a racist, they don't feel as if he picked on Jonathan repeatedly and bullied him, but if they could do it all over again there would be situations that they might change but they’re very, very comfortable with Richie,” Carter said.
“They think it’s sad, not only that Jonathan’s not on the football team, but also that Richie is being depicted as a bigot and as a racist.”
How is this possible?
Well, I've spoken to multiple people today about this and the explanation from all of them is that in the Dolphins locker room, Richie Incognito was considered a black guy. He was accepted by the black players. He was an honorary black man.
And Jonathan Martin, who is bi-racial, was not. Indeed, Martin was considered less black than Incognito.
"Richie is honarary," one player who left the Dolphins this offseason told me today. "I don't expect you to understand because you're not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It's about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you've experienced. A lot of things."
Another former Dolphins employee told me Martin is considered "soft" by his teammates and that's a reason he's not readily accepted by some of the players, particularly the black players. His background -- Stanford educated and the son of highly educated people -- was not necessarily seen as a strength or a positive by some players and it perpetuated in the way Martin carried himself.
And so -- agree with it or not, comprehend it or not -- this is a reason the Dolphins haven't turned on Incognito as a racist.
Indeed, Martin was considered less black than Incognito.
ReplyDeleteIt's sort of like here, where Truth is considered less black than jody. Truth is soft.
Richie Incognito was considered a black guy.
ReplyDeleteWhat's even funnier about this is that his name is "Incognito."
The allegations of "bullying" are really lame. It's really tame stuff - shouting insults, obscenities, that kind of thing. At first, I assumed it was really serious stuff since they were making a big deal out of NFL players bullying each other - maybe they were going after each other with machetes, guns or something - brutal physical assaults, that sort of thing. But it turns out it's really just teasing.
ReplyDeleteIncognegro, as it were.
ReplyDeleteHow does one bully a person who is 6'5" and weighs over 300 pounds?
ReplyDeleteWatched a youtube of Incognito "raging" inside a drinking establishment, getting in folks faces while circling around making sure everyone knew how "Alpha" he was.
ReplyDeleteIn a heavily CCW State like Florida.
With Stand Your Ground Law as well.
Darwin Award candidate.
Lot of things you could pick up on from this post.
ReplyDeleteStill what gets me the most is
1) How much steroids affect Incog's behavior, if we could take the God's Eye view.
2) How widespread exactly is steroid use in all professional sports? I think they are all, almost to a man juicing.
The rest of it, meh just another media firestorm, blows up, then forgotten about in a couple of days.
It's something I could never have dreamed of, but in retrospect I wouldn't really care to be a pro football player. Unless I was so good I was going to make super money. Close to NFL minimum wage for a few years wouldn't be worth the wear and tear and concussion risk in my book.
I'd have to make Tom Brady/Peyton Manning money for it to interest me.
I mean really. You'd have to make it worth my while to hang out with these guys.
A Denver offense lineman came to the same conclusion over his team's bye week and quit.
DeleteWhen I first heard this news story, I thought that the name 'Richie Incognito' was a fake name, like Jon Doe, because incognito means disguised, and I assumed that they were disguising the guys name (because being called a bigot in the NFL HAS to be dangerous).
ReplyDeleteAs far as being accepted as black, if Clinton could be, why not him?
Chicago has asked the correct question.
ReplyDeleteNot only is Martin huge but he has gone through years of pummeling and being pummeled by other giants of his size.
When I was in the Marine Corps everyone gave everybody else shit constantly.
The NFL has been going down hill ever since they prohibited defensive backs from hammering receivers coming off the line or out of the backfield.
Sunbeam,
ReplyDeleteYou could make good money as a punter/kicker, and still avoid the wear and tear. And if you are any good, you could last 10 years easily, if not 20.
And Anonymous at 2:03 is right. Trying to intimidate people in a concealed carry state will end poorly at some point.
He should glad it's Incognito and not Sandusky.
ReplyDeleteLike that Chris Rock bit, "Oh you got your PhD? But can you kick MY ass?"
ReplyDeleteheld off posting about this until i learned more. most suspicions confirmed. 3 post series follows.
ReplyDeletefirst of all, just to inform steve, mike pouncey and his brother maurkice are mulatto as well. they're also scumbags. mike was subpoena'd to testify in the hernandez murder trial and both brothers wore "Free Hernandez" hats in july. maurkice is not well liked in pittsburgh. a draft disappointment who has insulted steelers fans via twitter.
now, to the story, what's more likely is that jon martin is a mentally weak wimp, and, i think we're about to find out, a drug user, who finally cracked under his habit. then he ran screaming to the teacher, joe philbin, telling on all the mean men who were mean to him. joe philbin's son was also a drug user and killed himself, so philbin sympathized with martin, and did the thing that coaches do now in the NFL: he looked for a european player to blame, a scapegoat, and hammered him.
thanks to GM jeff ireland, the dolphins are one of the most african teams in the NFL. a couple games this year they have started just 3 european players out of 22. yet, notice how all the dolphins players are sticking up for icognito and none of them are slamming him. the only person taking action against icognito is the coach. gotta find whitey and punish him. some of these teams are running out of whitey to blame, but don't worry, as long as even ONE player is still around, HE's the problem with the team.
this is standard operating procedure on most NFL teams now. come down like a HAMMER on the european players, let the african players do whatever they want. don't discipline them, that might make them angry and you could 'lose the team'. certainly some of them can fly off on a tantrum if they don't get their way, like dez bryant did on the cowboys, and mike wallace on the dolphins. and we wouldn't want that, now would we. so, just let the africans do whatever they want. but oh ho ho, whitey, don't ever step out of line.
the idea that a 6-5, 300 pound man who plays a violent sport for a living, could be bullied to the point of tears, and can't defend himself, is preposterous. but just how preposterous is it? what level of preposterousness have we actually reached here?
ReplyDelete1) that a collection of 53 men, at least 40 of them african, would allow a european to bully one of the mulattos, to the point he's crying? really? so that would be allowed by africans, who are racially aware and hyper sensitive about race at all times?
2) the fact that this has NEVER happened before, EVER, in the history of the NFL. no player would EVER go running to the coaches like a whining baby that "The mean men are mean to me!", which then resulted in a player actually getting booted from his team. it's never happened ONCE, EVER. in the past, a player knew that if ever did that, it would be the end of their career. this is the first time this has ever happened. and ONLY because the NFL is in some sort of pussification process, where cultural marxism has taken over the politics of the league, and since bullying is supposedly some kind of big deal in normal society now, well, it has to be one in the NFL too. except...
3) the fact that in EVERY OTHER CASE of unreported bullying, it's the african players ganging up on the few european players on the team and bullying them, even, in some instances, physically assaulting them. this has been occurring more frequently in the last 10 years, with rookie players coming in and their african 'teammates' deliberately trying to hurt them in team scrimmages.
note, the dozens of bullied european players just take it. they keep their mouth shut, don't complain, take their lumps, and try to get past it, just so they can stay on the team and play some. they know if they say anything, the reaction will be exactly the opposite of the reaction jon martin got when he went crying to the teacher. they will be laughed at, mocked, have their credibility stripped to zero, never welcomed on any team again, and ridiculed by the same sports media personalities who are on the hunt against incognito.
that the ratio of cases of africans bullying european 'teammates' to cases of europeans bullying african teammates is 100:1, is probably the reason the dolphins players, and no african players in the entire league, actually want roger goodell to launch any kind of bullying investigation. no honest investigation anyway.
Some of the taunts in question are...six months old?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a guy needing a scapegoat for not making it.
The story itself is both tame and lame. Jocks acting like jocks.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason this "matters" is because Incognito's all-things-considered innocuous racial slur has provided a perfect opportunity for a lot white, liberal non-jocks to...wait for it...bully other whites who haven't yet gotten on the multi-culti, feel-good train.
Also, Pouncey's comments via Carter will come as no surprise to anyone who's played sports at a high level. The black players get to decide who belongs to the in-group, not the whites. To say that Incognito was "black" just means that he was cool, one of the guys. Martin, I'm sure, was thought of as a dweeb. Of course, if Martin would've been playing well, none of this would have mattered.
Only in a Leftist fever dream could this be rationalized like it has been; and we are living in a Leftist fever dream. Everyone is confused because no one is allowed to notice reality.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Incognito is considered "Black" is because he is one White guy who inspires fear in Blacks. That's what they respect, and that is ALL that they respect. Incognito is one White guy who acts like a Black and has what it takes to back it up. And what it takes is basically to be a psycho who is all mellow about casual violence.
Hmm. Prole = honorary brother? Who knew?
ReplyDeleteIt's still not ridiculous as European football, where now apparently you can get your team penalized if you even so much as give a black person a dirty look.
ReplyDelete>The allegations of "bullying" are really lame. It's
ReplyDelete>really tame stuff - shouting insults, obscenities,
>that kind of thing.
Glad I don't work for you.
Martin is not merely the child of Harvard graduates. He is the grandchild and great-grandchild of Black Harvard graduates. If Martin had gone to Harvard, he applied and was accepted, instead of Stanford he would have been the 4th generation of his family to attend Harvard. The only Black family to have some a legacy.
ReplyDeleteThe Martin family may possibly the most intellectually accomplished Black family in American history.

Clearly the guys supporting Incognito are actually "white blacks", and Holder needs to send them to the re-education camps.
ReplyDelete"the idea that a 6-5, 300 pound man who plays a violent sport for a living, could be bullied to the point of tears, and can't defend himself, is preposterous."

ReplyDeleteWhy not get of 'legal' and 'citizen' too? Too 'racist'.
And get rid of all border controls and documentation.
If 'illegal' is wrong, nothing
is illegal.
the bottom line is that if you were a black player talking s--- in a bar and eight rednecks jumped you incognito wouldnt hesitate to rush the crowd and tear them off of you no matter the odds.
ReplyDeletemartin would disown you the second it looked like he was outnumbered (and then, apparently, literally go cry about you to his mother).
and a bunch of effete journalists wonder why the players are on incognitos side?
i have to say i was a little bit surprised they didnt even add the caveat that of course they were mad about his use of the "n-word" (i hate typing that but i am sensitive to readers who may have workplace fiilters) but i suppose martin being a soft player turned dishonest backstabbing snitch quitter took priority.
Early puberty white guy.

Early puberty black guys.

Late puberty black guy.
"How does one bully a person who is 6'5" and weighs over 300 pounds?"
ReplyDeleteViolence is mostly mental.
All else being equal a normal person has almost no chance against a killer (hence why sane societies make sure things are very far from equal when it comes to killer types who can't control it).
Don't forget too that this story, like so many involving white athletes, has gone national because of ESPN's drum beating. And a more Scot-Irish institution one could not find. To the extent all sports have devolved into soap-operas and PC policing ESPN has a lot to do with it.
ReplyDeleteThe Penn St. nonsense and the destruction of JoPa's legacy--probably the last vestige of a traditional narrative prevailing--was all ESPN. There are episodes galore of athletes doing all sorts of horrible in college and Pros but because almost all of it involves non-whites misbehaving and leaving a horrible trail of rape and assault never seems to get ESPN really hard.
"the idea that a 6-5, 300 pound man who plays a violent sport for a living, could be bullied to the point of tears, and can't defend himself, is preposterous."
ReplyDeleteIt's not. Violence is primarily mental - the willingness to inflict pain and the willingness to accept it - both of which relate to levels of empathy and (imo) probably also relate to levels of testosterone.
If the black guy's dad went to Harvard he was probably a late developer whereas this incognito guy sounds like the opposite.
So firstly early and late developers will have different testosterone profiles over time with the early developers getting an early boost and (guessing) an earlier decline with a crossover point around the mid-30s?
Secondly if one guy is a killer type and the other isn't then it's no contest from the start.
The ebst cinematic representation of this was the film the Duellists with Harvey Keitel playing the killer type.
What is preposterous is the media making a fanfare over this one example when the same thing is played out in reverse 100,000 times a day in the public schools.
ReplyDelete.......acne-prone Incognito, who has a long history of bad behavior, has been accused (without proof) of being prone to 'roid rage.
ReplyDeleteThey're all on steroids. Steroids are ubiquitous in high school and college sports as well as the NFL. There is no other way to get that big, that strong, or that fast. Exercise and diet can only take you so far.
12 Minutes a Mulatto!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, 12 Years a Slave sounds like Passion of the Negro, just like Pan's Labyrinth was Passion of Spanish Commie.
Funny that Libs who hated on the violence of Passion of Christ are slobbering all over 12 Yrs. On facebook, they are falling all over themselves to go see it and feel oh so white-gulity and noble.
Well, I say movies like this need be made if such really did happen.
I just say someone should make Knoxville Horror too.
Jody is way wrong on all of this. First, I'll speak on my beloved Cowboys. Dez Bryant didn't throw a tantrum. Listen to the audio they have on those "tantrums". Teams like the Cowboys need more Dez Bryant's. Watch old footage of the Playmaker, Michael Irvin, ranting up and down the sidelines, but never demeaning or belittling teammates. Dez was doing the same. Second, Martin could be bullied very easily by his white teammates. NFL is dirty business and teammates don't want any weak Nancy boys. Just like A Few Good Men, that weak shit has to be confronted. Incognegro prolly increased his locker room respect by his actions. Jody is prolly the only opinion I've read about Joe Philbin out to get whitey. Proof? Philbin told Martin to punch Incognegro and be done with it. Black players targeting and bullying white players? Proof? "Unreported bullying"? How the fuck do you know that is going on if it's unreported? Ratio of cases 100:1? You pull that out of your ass? Martin is a drug user, Jody? Another poster says the black players decide.... Yes, if the black player is the leader of his unit (d-line, LBs, secondary, etc.), but not so if he is not. Guys like Polamalu, Seau, Urlacher, come to mind. This is a good thing for the NFL because half committed players like Martin will be less likely to want to play in the NFL. One guy that has to be very happy with these turn of events is Tannehill. Get someone committed to protecting his blind side.
ReplyDeleteWell, I've spoken to multiple people today about this and the explanation from all of them is that in the Dolphins locker room, Richie Incognito was considered a black guy. He was accepted by the black players. He was an honorary black man.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jonathan Martin, who is bi-racial, was not. Indeed, Martin was considered less black than Incognito.
In an HBO interview some yrs ago, former MLB player Gary Sheffield gave a candid interview on various things including his time spent as with the NY Yankees. One quote of his is the exact SAME mindset that more African-Americans express privately (out of distance from whites)
Sheff was complaining about the lack of respect shown to blacks on the Yankees. Hispanics were "starting to take over" the team, etc. When it wa pointed out that NY's biggest star, Derek Jeter was white, Sheffield immediately said "Derek aint white all the way."
"Derek ain't white all the way." let that sink in a moment. This mindset is EXACTLY the SAME thing that many, many blacks view either: biracials who are perceived as better educated, soft spoken etc. What Gary meant is that Derek Jeter has never publicly really identified as black in the usual sense. This is also a similar reason as to why Tiger Woods, for the most part and perhaps Steve here would agree, perhaps why Tiger has little to no credibility with most African-Americans as an authentic member of their community.
Translation: Jonathan (what kind of white name is 'Jonathan' anyway? What brother names their kids Jonathan? What, Marquiz; DeWeezy; and LeShawrty not good enough? Sounds like someone's selling out to the man! He dont even speak ebonics! We know what that means!
Jonathan Martin, with his well educated background and "not black all the way", what business does he have playing for a team that is proudly black?
This has been a constant and consistent charge vs the talented biracials as well as the light skinned well spoken ones.
But Sheffields quote took the cake and it symbolizes a dominant theme in black america. "Aint black all the way" means that one has no cred in the community with us.
Very, very telling.
QUESTION TO ALL: Suppose Travyon Martin was named Jonathan Martin, black, but was well spoken, a prep school graduating senior and possible national merit scholar as well as a budding lacrosse player, and of course no criminal past. Lets also say that he was "less" urban in his musical preferences. All other things of what has become public about the case remain the same, the only thing that changes is that Trayvon become Jonathan Martin. Oh, and Robert Martin has two parents still married.
Do we think that the community would have automatically sided as strongly as they did with Robert Martin in the same vein that they did with Trayvon Martin? Look at Sharpton and Jackson etc. Are they stoking the fires of the Incognito bruhaha? Is the community marching for Jonathan Martin as we speak? Verrrrry telling is the answer. Its not a race issue to them; half whitey Jonathan had it coming. (and ya'll know he just too soft for NFL anyway)
With Jonathan Martin's example before us, I think we have a definite answer.
that the ratio of cases of africans bullying european 'teammates' to cases of europeans bullying african teammates is 100:1, is probably the reason the dolphins players, and no african players in the entire league, actually want roger goodell to launch any kind of bullying investigation. no honest investigation anyway.
ReplyDeleteJody, there's something else at work. BLACKS bully other blacks as well all the time, whether in sports teams or in general society at large. They disrespect each other all the time. Who knows in this particular situation if Jonathan Martin wasn't bullied by some black teammates as well? Perhaps not to the same level of intensity as Incognito, but how do we know?
But blacks bully each other all the time, whether in sports or in life. And they never get called out on it. Wonder why?
The answer....is staring us...in the face.
Black white guy bullies white black guy.
ReplyDeleteMovie at 11.
Hey, this was actually an old Star Trek episode! (Shatner days) where two men, both colored half white an half black but on different sides of their faces spent the entire episode on board the Enterprise expressing their mutual hatred for one another.
It wasn't "the Changeling" or "The Deadly Years". Hmm...episode's clear as a bell, just can't remember the name.
Martin is obviously very intelligent to calculate his departure from the game so he would not been viewed as another Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell. It appears that Martin, like Leaf and Russell was not prepared for the emotional challenge of the game. Unlike Leaf and Russell I expect Martin will stay out of legal trouble and manage his life outside of football much better.
ReplyDeleteJust look at all the horrific black on white crime in this country and the media fixates on this. I wonder why...?
ReplyDeleteFor example, Martin is the son of a white woman and a black man with a Harvard degree.
ReplyDeleteIs he Steve? According to wikipedia,
Martin's father, Gus Martin, is a Harvard University graduate and a professor of criminal justice administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills.[1] His mother, Jane Howard-Martin, is also a Harvard graduate and is a corporate lawyer for Toyota.[2] Martin has a total of nine relatives who graduated from Harvard including his grandfather, a professor in international development, and his maternal great grandfather, one of a dozen African-American students there in the 1920s
His mother appears to have a black grandfather. Plus look at the photo of the mom. She is definitely not white. Note: there are many faces on this link, so do a ctrl-f on the page to find Jane.
As for the dad, judge for yourself.
Now I wouldn't be surprised if Martin has significant European admixture. But he is not the child of a white and black parent. How did this idea get spread?
From wikipedia, Martin has a total of nine relatives who graduated from Harvard...
ReplyDeleteGiven the above and the fact that Martin went to Stanford, he is probably a high-IQ fellow. In fact he did score a 35 on the Wonderlic. However, with all that Ivy genealogy, I'd have figured him for one of the rare guys who threaten a perfect 50. Harvard's Pat McInally scored a 50. Harvard's Ryan Fitzpatrick scored a 48. Alabama's Greg McElroy scored a 43. Missouri's Blaine Gabbert scored a 42.
Now a 35 is nothing to laugh at. Aaron Rodgers scored a 35. But for a Stanford guy with all those Harvard ancestors, and with a Tiger mom and dad to boot, I'd have thought his score would be a bit higher.
Of course Michael Jordan was a bully, but he's:
ReplyDeleteMICHAEL...FUCKING...JORDAN...
Not some fat, stupid, churlish lineman on a bad team.
Ok, now that that's settled....
"What's even funnier about this is that his name is "Incognito."

Both of Martin's parents are black. Here is dad. Here is mom
ReplyDelete@anonymous 10:56

His mom is probably drawing up the case as we speak.
Incognito is like the Rob Ford of mainstream NFL meatheads
ReplyDeleteAs Truth posts here, he's an honorary white, right?
ReplyDeleteJust as the cable news channels started emulating the Worldwide Leader stylistically, with loudmouth telegenic airheads handicapping Senate races or the newest celebrity murder trial, ESPN etc. will eventually morph into general-audience coffee-klatsch networks mostly divorced from athletic competition. The prototypical show will be four gabby analysts and an Eskimo curling star from Iqaluit debating 5-tool sabremetric athleticism or green energy policies for NASCAR
ReplyDeleteMartin is not bi-racial according to a NPR correspondent that knows the family personally. I suspect the mom can "pass" for White hence the confusion.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.npr.org/blogs/codeswitch/2013/11/07/243728867/dolphins-story-is-about-race-and-bullying-but-not-the-way-you-think
Y'all miss the point. In their own minds, "ghetto" culture has become conflated with race for blacks in America. Being black is not about ancestry, or at least is not primarily about ancestry. It is about culture, politics, behavior. So sure, it's easy for a white guy to be more "black" than a racially black guy. We've stopped talking about race as strictly defined.
ReplyDeletet wasn't "the Changeling" or "The Deadly Years". Hmm...episode's clear as a bell, just can't remember the name.
ReplyDeleteOh, It was very 60's pretentious: "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" That was from the 3rd and final season of the series when the show was dumbed down by TV execs and it was moved to prime time "death slot" in order to justify cancelling at the end of the next year for good.
It's heartening to see the media so approvingly describe examples of racial solidarity.
ReplyDelete"Just look at all the horrific black on white crime in this country and the media fixates on this. I wonder why...?"
ReplyDeleteBecause they aren't rich celebrities making their living at America's favorite pastime, dumbshit.
"Both of Martin's parents are black. Here is dad. Here is mom"
ReplyDeleteIt appears, your agenda is loud, Stephen.
This all rings true. I work construction despite an NYU degrees, upper middle home. I also grew up in Lower east side NYC ghetto [its unique} so not only do I pass for blue collar I pass as a inner city street kid read minority. I speak spanglish and blacklish fluently and im a big guy etc Im covered in scars from my drinking days But I pass in the Ivy world too.
ReplyDeleteThe point is we constantly haze each other and often in extremely "racist" "homophobic" "sexist" language its a given everyone's racist it would be weak to complain. Whites maybe even Huxtables would be apoplectic if they heard us.They know that I know they tell their children the white man is the devil and know that I know ALL the inner workings of their welfare, tax, immigration, insurance, etc etc scams. I know about how cops are and whats really racist and whats well earned
Incognito looks like an extra from "Idiocracy".

I was shocked that "cretin" Richie Incognito scored 32 on the Wonderlic. Granted not as high as Martin (35), but certainly not Travis Henry territory.

ReplyDeleteSure, it's only a kiddie park, but still...
So if Incognito is a black white and Martin is a white black then which would liberals or conservatives shove onto the trolley tracks?
ReplyDelete"considered black in Dolphins locker room" < a very interesting choice of words.
ReplyDeleteIs Incognito Italian? As a kid I transferred from mixed black and white to school to predominantly Italian American school and there is a toughness and aggressiveness in the Italian Americans kids that I have not seen among blacks. In fact the bulling at the school that I transferred too was shocking to me at first.
ReplyDeleteBTW In my experience Italians are crazier about winning in sports that blacks and are more likely to use intimidation cheating to win. I always liked my black teammates and black coaches even more. (I got 5 letters (2 for basketball) in high school but was not good enough to play at a good div 2 or 3 college).
Truth:
ReplyDeleteIt appears, your agenda is loud, Stephen.
What agenda? Since the article refers to Martin as "bi-racial," is the agenda painting Hispanic journalists as unreliable? Or, since Salguero probably got the idea from black Dolphin players, is the agenda exposing the black prejudice that equates whiteness with softness?
Hmmm, you may have a point there.
Martin is biracial. Both of his parents are biracial as well. He has brown skin, curly hair and a middle of the road slightly more Caucasoid face/body. He wouldn't pass as truly black anywhere outside of the USA. Typical blacks have dark brown to coal black skin, coarse hair to no hair, rough/bad facial features and a completely different body set.
ReplyDeleteIronically, using the "N word" in the context which Incognito did (and that white Eagles wide receiver who got raked over the coals earlier this year) is evidence of the degree to which young white men worship all things black, not anti-black animus. They're acting like, and talking like, black guys, who refer to everyone as a "N______."
ReplyDeleteAnother Dolphins teammate sides with Incognito: Incognito and Martin: An Insider’s Story.
ReplyDelete"Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Lydon Murtha pulls back the curtain on what he saw and what he’s heard of the relationship between Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin, from the locker room dynamic to that now-famous O-line trip to Vegas."
Incognito has a broad face. Here is another one James Fallon has the biology of a stone-cold killer — and he would know
ReplyDeleteHis mom looks light skinned black on google images.
ReplyDeleteDitto the last post. If his mom is "white" then I most certainly am NOT.
ReplyDeleteBOTH his parents, Gus and Jane, are mulatto or octoroon.
