Many of them feel they are being impoverished by high state and local property taxes.<br /><br />Given that the net worth of property owners in the U.S.has declined by 40% since the beginning of the recession (and may never come back if you believe some experts), I am sure this sentiment is a nationwide phenomenon in every state where their are strong public sector employee unions (even FDR was against them!).<br /><br />That is precisely why Obama stayed away from Wisconsin.
