"The women around here?," he said,"its all about the money.Once they find out youre a peasant Indonesian blacksmith, forget it,they dont even wanna know you! Survivng against the odds? Hell, what about the odds of getting laid!? Odds are I'll be taking care of business myself most nights, and with the callusses ive built up doing all this Blacksmithing, its no picnic, lemme tell ya. Why do all "social-science" papers, dissertations, and reports have titles of the form: "Prosaic Description of Topic: Uplififting Slogan" ?

Are the people who write them just hacks, like the journalists who write the insipid and formulaic articles in "Time" and "Newsweek"?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9430835.post-74265459799906526022008-02-27T07:38:00.000-08:002008-02-27T07:38:00.000-08:00Steve, Having recently read "Peasant blacksmithin...Steve,

Having recently read "Peasant blacksmithing in Indonesia: Surviving and Thriving Against All Odds," I must recommend it. He may be perpetually on edge because he's a fat man inside a skinny body screaming to get out. He really does have a lean & hungry look.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06559830693993775055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9430835.post-19211499454320294622008-02-27T06:41:00.000-08:002008-02-27T06:41:00.000-08:00Anonymous: haven't you ever heard of 'good cop' 'b...Anonymous: haven't you ever heard of 'good cop' 'bad cop'? Sheesh, conservatives are so stupid....

Lucius: Spengler is a nutcase. He has good ideas and then goes crazy with them. No discipline at all.

Steve: I think SADOS was clearly obsessed. I could have wrapped up "Peasant blacksmithing in Medieval France and England: Surviving and Thriving Against All Odds" in 807 short pages. 403 for France, 404 for England.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06559830693993775055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9430835.post-49781048667997432992008-02-26T22:07:00.000-08:002008-02-26T22:07:00.000-08:00I don't know - Stanley Ann Dunham is an intriguing...I don't know - Stanley Ann Dunham is an intriguing figure to me.

Spengler emptied both barrels at her in his latest [which mentions you]:

Obama's women reveal his secret
atimes.com

I think there was something deeply wrong with that woman.

PS: She's wearing the Hijab in this photo with the Soetoro clan [circa 1970]:

28585926.jpg

PPS: In every picture I've ever seen of Dunham, she has this stupefied, deer-in-the-headlights look on her face [usually with her mouth gaping wide open].

But in every childhood picture I've ever seen of Obama, he's got this big, warm, glowing smile on his face:

28647552.jpg
28587177.jpg
28585960.jpg
28585964.jpg

When do you suppose all that racial angst and racial fervor and racial hatred took over his soul?

I wonder if this single meeting with his father, when Obama was in 5th grade, circa 1971, played a big role in shaping his outlook on his life? He publicly humiliated a conservative radio talk show host and supporter who introduced him at an event because he thought it was mean-spirited that the guy kept saying Barack's middle name, "Hussein", in his crowd warm-up. Meanwhile, another guy on his staff, Mark McKinnon, is still there despite publicly humiliating McCain by declaring he would leave the campaign if Barack were the Dem nominee and seemed to suggest attacking Obama was morally wrong, or at least would be for him.

A. You can't make this stuff up. Only McCain would reverse the rightful treatments of these two men and getting the implications of their transgressions mixed as well.

B. The guy would rather be loved and popular with the Press than be President.

I'll probably vote for the guy, but it will be an exercise in futility; there will be more McKinnons for McCain to tolerate and Cunninghams to humiliate in order to secure the love of the MSM.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
