I like "Occam's butterknife," if it's originally yours. Also "Yale or jail."----JD
ReplyDeletePoint and Sputter Argument: Not bothering to contradict a statement, but merely quoting it in outrage
ReplyDeleteJeurasian: Combination of jewish, european and asian. The upper-tier of the two-tier society of the future.
Redblex: Combination of redneck, black and mexican. The lower tier of the two-tier society of the future.
Invade the world, invite the world, in hock to the world.
ReplyDeletewigging - exhibiting debilitating angst about being biracial?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteI got "Yale or jail" from John Gardner (the Milwaukee community activist, not the various other famous John Gardners).
"Wigging" isn't mine originally. Maybe "Whigger" could be applied to free marketeers who are avid followers of Smith and Ricardo?

ReplyDeleteI've used "squid ink" (also "point and sputter"), "Iraq Attaq", and "invade the world", all which I got from you.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite: Effective Intelligence.
ReplyDeleteAs in, "Political Correctness reduces their Effective Intelligence"
"Occam's butterknife" is definitely the best sounding. "Invade the world..." is definitely a good summation of modern politics, while "A.F.F." is a good summation of where Republicans should move to (but won't) for the next election.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget "citizenism".
ReplyDeleteb.s.S. , being shocked,SHOCKED!
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I were watching "Casablanca" on New Year's Eve, and when Captain Renault declares that he is "shocked, SHOCKED to discover gambling going on in Rick's," she said, "I always though you'd made that up!"
ReplyDelete"berm/bermishness" I know you attributed it to youth slang but I'm skeptical. I've never actually heard it used...anyway your stuff on nerds and berms ought to make it at least partly yours.
ReplyDeleteThere was a flip side to NAMs within the U.S., something about blacks and latinos.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how about the flip side to glossaries: Sailerian definitions of existing words. You've got "race," I believe "ethnicity," and despite the reaction you got in the comments I think your definition of "class" was at the very least...close.
With all due respect Steve, it was "ghetto watson" who coined that term - "watsoned."
ReplyDeletePlease feel free to use one of mine: "the Chappaqua Dick" for Bill Clinton. I enjoy its allusive property.

I am Lugash.
ReplyDeleteCan I suggest a couple?
Memory Black Hole- Something so non politically correct that it is dropped down the Memory Hole and never seen again.
Watson's Dog that Didn't Bark- When Watson made his announcements about race he was only criticized on his genetic argument. His other idea that blacks aren't the best workers in the world was ignored by the media.

Are you allowed to take credit for "Podenfreude"?
