Recently, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that she was going to crack down on the border ... the Canadian border. Now, her Department has circulated to law enforcement agencies nationwide an intelligence report telling them to be on the lookout for conservatives:
The Department of Homeland Security has yet to follow this logic out to its inevitable conclusion and home in on the obvious real threat: Canadian conservatives.
Perhaps we'll soon see a campaign coordinated amongst the Obama Administration, the SPLC, and the New York Times editorial board about the looming menace to the American Dream posed by I, Ectomorph.
The report also said a push for new immigration legislation that would grant residency or citizenship to people who entered the country illegally could fuel anger among groups fearing competition for jobs.

On Easter Sunday MSNBC ran a debate segment addressing the question of whether right-wingers like Poplawski and Jiverly Wong were turning to violence as the only way to make their pro-hate, anti-immigrant agenda heard in this new era of hope and government kickbacks. I didn't stay to watch it all.
ReplyDeleteOnce government departments exist they under pressure to find some justification for their power 7 indeed to incrase it. If they haven't yet caught a single al Quaida terrorist in 7 years the better strat looking for somebody else to protect people from,

ReplyDeleteYou laugh. In Germany the government has been running various "fight against the right" (Kampf gegen Rechts) campaigns in conjunction with anarchists, unions, churches, Arab groups, the Central Council of the Jews and liberal media outlets.
Most "conservative" politicians endorse and support these initiatives, even though these campaigns ultimately bully conservatives and make the conservative pols look like idiots. Every few months some boneheaded sociologists publishes new data suggesting the youth is even more nazi-like than previously thought. The media then causes an uproar, the churches and the Central Council of the Jews follow with public denunciations of traditional Germans aka "Nazis", some Turks go public with their latest sob stories and the pols start debating even more draconian laws. A funny recent episode was when some academic discovered that German Turks are anti-Semitic. Of course that got everybody in a snitch because the Turks are the poster children of German multiculturalism.
A leading Turkish/German pol in the Green party then made a lame attempt at castigating his fellow German Turks for their anti-Semitism, but of course everybody in the know laughed at it, since Turks are never going to be told what to think of other races.
The media solved the problem by just burying it in the memory hole and promptly found some more traditional ethnic Germans to bash around. The whole thing is a laugh but in fact it eats up lots of German public money, and the anarchists/unions/churches and Turkish groups have free licence to prevent conservatives demonstrating and go about literally bashing any German who protests turning the Cologne Cathedral into a mosque.
This talk by Napolitano to sounds like the beginning of the above-mentioned plague in Germany.
Indeed.
ReplyDeleteMark Steyn is a dangerous, dangerous man.
The recent history tells us the goal of strenghtening border fences is more often to prevent citizens from leaving the country than anything else.
ReplyDeleteThat is some brutal black humor, Steve.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out foxnews lets a guy who actually is a bonafide American constitutionalist (as opposed to neo-con nation wrecker) have his say. Frightening and eye opening commentary from a pro legal mind:
JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO: Six Things You Should Know About the Homeland Security Report on ‘Rightwing Extremism’
I wouldn't laugh at policing the Canadian border. Remember, Richard Reid is a "Briton", and Zach Moussaoui a "Frenchman". Similarly, some of the most dangerous people in the world are bound to be "Canadian".
ReplyDeleteCanada has about the world's worst reputation for shielding fugitive third-party terrorists. (They're not going to bomb Canada, so why should they care?)
It's not 1980, when the biggest threat was Fergie Jenkins.
I'm on it:

Funny how the Homeland Security Secretary is comfortable with the term "terrorism" when it refers to domestic threats but unwilling to use the term when discussing foreign threats.
ReplyDeleteAnd, uh, gee, I thought she said last month that her department would be "moving away from a politics of fear"???!
Janet Napolitano this week:
"Let me be very clear—we monitor the risks of violent extremism taking root here in the United States," Napolitano said in a statement. "We don't have the luxury of focusing our efforts on one group; we must protect the country from TERRORISM whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence."http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D97JB5CO0&show_article=1
Janet Napolitano a month ago:
(Janet Napolitano) spoke with SPIEGEL about immigration, the continued threat of terrorism and the changing tone in Washington.SPIEGEL: Madame Secretary, in your first testimony to the US Congress as Homeland Security Secretary you never mentioned the word "terrorism." Does Islamist terrorism suddenly no longer pose a threat to your country?Napolitano: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that WE WANT TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE POLITICS OF FEAR toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,613330,00.html
Conservatives aren't phyical threats for the same reason they mostly can't be bothered to show up at protests (yesterday's excepted): they have jobs, mortgages they'd like to pay, and kids they'd like to raise.
ReplyDeletethe 'war on terror' was never about ending muslim 'terrorism' as it only serves as a means to strengthen NWO agenda (10 years ago, if i read that i would think it was 'wacko') Bush let in record numbers of Muslims, as did Blair. They resist, to this day, profiling, well, profiling minorities - its clear they are more than willing to 'profile' white Christians.
ReplyDeleteIt's not hard to figure out who, whom
In Germany the government has been running various "fight against the right" (Kampf gegen Rechts) campaigns in conjunction with anarchists, unions, churches, Arab groups, the Central Council of the Jews and liberal media outlets.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't lying. My research brought up the name of one guy involved in the "fight against the right" campaign - Ravindra Gujjula, the mayor of the East German town of Atlandsberg, who is, well, not ethnically German.
Sepia Mutiny describes his background thusly: his father was a member of parliament for the Communist Party of India, his mother a feminist activist with the National Federation of Indian Women.
Meanwhile while Burgermeister Gujjula is busy fighting those evil, nasty racists in Germany he's not at all engaging in any ethnocentric chauvinism of his own: Ravindra Gujjula, a three-time Mayor of Altlandsberg who was recently elected as member of the legislature of federal State of Brandenburg in Germany, said on Friday he would continue to do his bit to taking up various development works in Vijayawada and involve his friends from Germany in works like construction of school buildings and housing for the poor."
No - no racist ethnocentrism here. Why he might just as easily have decided to help a city in Peru!
Gujjula likes to brag about how great Indian immigrants are for Germany:
"Did you know that 7,000 foreign computer specialists with German green cards, created 33,000 new jobs for Germans within six months?" he frequently asks young people in the region.
Ah, yes: that's why Indians have to move to the West - because the West lacks the smart people needed to create jobs!
Meanwhile:
In some parts of Eastern Germany, the radical right is a part of everyday life. Since 2001, the federal government has supported some 4,000 projects with a total of 154 million euros ($192 million) to counteract the ever-increasing acceptance of neo-Nazis in mainstream society.
These far "right" groups take off for a reason: because the "mainstream" political parties have banned reasonable policy choices (e.g., reduced immigration) from discussion. When the public has only the far "right" parties to turn to for such political choices then they will choose those parties.
By trying to demonize the right Obama, Axelrod, Emanual and Napolitano have revealed what world class totalitarian a-holes they really are.
The day the government tries to dictate my political beliefs to me...
Bush let in record numbers of Muslims, as did Blair.
ReplyDeleteIn the less than years since 9/11 the Muslim population of Great Britain has increased by 50%, from 1.6 million to 2.4 million.
DHS should also go after people who claim to be neither Canadian nor conservative. They are trying too hard, they obviously have something to hide.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how, no matter which party has power, the scary police state measures just keep coming? Why, it's almost as though those folks care a lot more about having power than about the issues they claim are so important when campaigning for our votes.
