Be my 10,000,000th visit!

According to Sitemeter, the iSteve webpages are coming up on their 10 millionth unique visit since I installed Sitemeter in (I think) December 2002. At the moment, I'm at 9,990,009. (Total Page Views are currently at 16,288,424.)

At a little over 7,000 unique visits per day on average, that means the 10,000,000th visit will happen in the first half of this week of October 4th.

Sitemeter figures are usually considered to be underestimates. Also, these figures are only for iSteve pages, not for my many articles on the websites of VDARE.com, American Conservative, Taki's and so forth.

My published articles are archived at iSteve.com -- Steve Sailer

Looks like the MSM has finally discovered what you've been talking about for years:

But really it's too sad to snark about.

  2. No wonder, this site is more interesting than alot of magazines with milliom dollar budgets. It would shake things up hugely if the MSM ever started publishing your stuff.

  3. Steve, it would be interesting to know how your average daily readership has grown since you installed Sitemeter. When we click on your Sitemeter link, the most we can see is the last 12 months' worth of stats.

  5. That is hilarious- that most lucid, intelligent people would find Steve's site more interesting and entertaining than Time freakin magazine..... and apropos of John Belushi in Animal House... have a read- don't cost nothin

Steve,I really think that the 2030's is going to be your decade- hang in there!!

kidding- keep up the great work and congrats.

  7. Always an interesting read for probably a decade. Since name calling seems de rigueur for Stevil I'll use iconoclast,
    deservedly.

  8. More importantly; who will be the one millionth visitor who didn't whine about his lack of success with women?

  9. Steve,

OT, but I can't help but think that the following article will be of interest to you and your readers:

"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's vitriolic attacks on the Jewish world hide an astonishing secret, evidence uncovered by The Daily Telegraph shows.

A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots. A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver."

Well, they got half the story (the least interesting half) anyway:

Who doesn't whine, not didn't whine. They should have taught you that in what, fourth or fifth grade? The semicolon there is another sign of low literacy. A colon in its place would have worked fine.

When will we see the first Truth comment that doesn't contain childish grammatical mistakes?

    Dear Mr. Sailer !
I read your site quite regularly. I agree with the most of _your_ posts (not necessarily with all the comments.)

I have just started the discussion “Human Biodiversity, history and modernity: Murray, Sailer, Derbyshire.”

    http://www.amazon.com/tag/history/forum/ref=cm_cd_et_md_pl?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx33HXI3XVZDC8G&cdMsgNo=1&cdPage=1&cdSort=oldest&cdThread=TxQ9S8KTFXXWLH&displayType=tagsDetail&cdMsgID=Mx29KB4VNBUN4ZE#Mx29KB4VNBUN4ZE

Nowadays there are many places on the web, where Human Biodiversity is discussed. The owners of the corresponding sites are welcome to announce on that Amazon Discussion their addresses and/or duplicate the materials they consider relevant.

I have no illusions that the said Discussion Forum will be better or smarter than the other sites, the more so that I am not trying to develop my own ideas in the field of HBD (do not have them). However, I have not seen an Amazon Discussion of this subject.

    Your truly, Florida resident.

I didn't read the Time article as any sort of acknowledgment of HBD at all. It was still including "white racism" along with auto industry/UAW mismanagement as primary among the reasons for Detroit's downfall. Sure, it placed blame on Coleman Young as being a bad manager, but there was no acknowledgment at all of fundamental black dysfunction.

When whites left, leaving blacks to self-rule, the chaos that ensued echoed what happens whenever and wherever white areas go black.

It was, at its heart, a typically gutless piece.

  17. Steve, congrats! U deserve it.
It would shake things up hugely if the MSM ever started publishing your stuff.

I've been thinking about that. Steve's strength, apart from his numeracy and writing style, is wringing the truth out from under all the obfuscation, lying and idiocy which is what makes up the MSM. If heavy hitters were to start publishing his stuff, will Steve remain as committed to the truth? Will he not be compromised, even if he remains a decent guy?

  18. Sorry Steve, but you'll never beat Perez Hilton...

    Hehe.

In all seriousness, I've often seen this site as an excellent example of how much content matters. Despite the fact that it's a mere bare-bones blogger site run by one man, it is a very influential spot on the web. In fact, it's an inspiration in that way.

No bells and whistles and minimum SEO enhancement, and yet simply by dint of diligent writing it's a success. Just goes to show that there are a lot of people out there who really do appreciate the good stuff.

    also: http://www.wrmea.org/digital-issue/5751.html

"While insisting that the vast majority of Syrian Jews are law-abiding, Antar said that the community’s tight-knit nature and deep level of trust provide a natural framework for keeping secrets.

Inexplicably, the wrath of the Jewish community is focused not on the accused lawbreakers, but on the informant who agreed to wear the wire for the FBI. An Aug. 9, 2009 Haaretz article quotes two sources from the Dwek’s tight-knit Syrian Jewish community in Deal, NJ who said Rabbi Israel Dwek delivered a blistering speech about his son, in which he denounced the actions of a Jew being an informant against fellow Jews."

Awesome! I literally laughed out loud at that one.

I was wondering about that the other day: a what-if exercise about the State arresting you for thought crime. Would you give us up? One who is man enough to put his real name on what he writes would never reveal us, I concluded.
Relatedly, can you trace individual comments back to our IP addresses?

It goes without saying I thought about your family in such an event; a defence fund would be possible, but harder than it would be for mainstream Republicans.

I for one will admit to reading this site only to my wife, but sometimes it's difficult to maintain the silence. I do my best to spread the memes contained herein subtly as and when I can.

  26. From the Time article linked by the first commenter:

When this played out against the city's legacy of white racism and the corrosive two-decade rule of a black politician who cared more about retribution than about resurrection, you can begin to see why Detroit careened off the road.

Of course - "white racism." That's why Detroit was a-oakie dokie... until the Courts took the guillotine to de jure white racism. That's why when the city finally croaked it was after decades of black leadership.

I've heard it said that the key to civilization is maintenance. When all is finally written on the subject it will be acknowledged, if it's legal to do so, that "white racism" was simply an act of maintenance designed to keep the forces of corrosion at bay.

The Time article is complete garbage. I only mentioned it because of the subject matter. The MSM will never be honest about HBD and illegal invasion/job-stealing.

Meanwhile, the British have noticed California's implosion, but of course. Fantastically, they do mention immigration, but not a word about illegals. They'll go down with their dope, like all addicts.

  30. Steve,
Just read your Vdare column and it is absolutely brilliant. Rush Limbaugh and other mainstream Republicans do the opposite and try to paint the Dems as brainwashing Blacks. I can understand their desire to believe this, even if it is false; as right-liberals they find universalism to be a moral good in and of itself. That the GOP is so white shows particularism and they see this as bad.

While this is a large and all encompassing strategy, I thought of days ago.

The following is a response from Sanford D. Horwitt, Saul Alinsky's biographer about James O'Keefe of Acorn Sting fame. He had been mostly complimentary of the Right until he made this one statement:

"I think that taking advantage of low-level employees is way below the belt. Whether ACORN has violated laws as an organization, that’s a whole other issue, and if somebody has evidence of it they ought to come forward with it, but the tactic that O’Keefe used going into the offices is not one of Alinsky’s, and should not be replicated by others anytime soon."

I got extremely excited when I read this and I think it's huge. I was instantly reminded how the Left spun their wheels on this aspect of the controversy and could not come up with a convincing and satisfying narrative as to why these Acorn employees did what they did.

I've heard O'Keefe speak enough so as to make me inclined to believe that he did not expect this. It doesn't matter in the end.

The Left can't come out and say what we know is true and as such are stuck spinning when a "low level" person does something wrong. This is their achilles heel.

That was my reaction as well. I'm a native Detroiter like the piece's author, and I had to wonder if he was writing about some other place. Then I saw the byline: Daniel Okrent, the Bill James favorite who made his chops writing about baseball. Didn't Steve have some piece awhile back speculating about why most scribes who start out as sportswriters who later move on to 'opinion' journalism turn out to be total lefties? It's not just Olbermann--I recall even Howard Cosell back at his peak being invited to do 'serious' op-eds, and coming up with standard Brooklyn laborite/social democracy screeds.
