Clearly, these aren't great romances; a lot of them are pros, or at least dedicated amateurs.
The more interesting question is: Who taught Tiger how this complicated Las Vegas-centric system works?
John Katsilometes reports in the Las Vegas Sun:
For Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, the whole tawdry package is an early holiday gift.
And the man at the center is Tiger Claus.
“This is great for the city because they spell the city’s name right, L-A-S V-E-G-A-S,” Goodman [a former mob lawyer] said at the ceremonial lighting of the official Las Vegas Christmas tree on Fremont Street. “It’s great for the city to have its name out there, as long as they spell it right. Las Vegas, Nevada.”
Goodman was speaking to the Tiger Woods conundrum, in which the golfing legend has been linked to as many as 10 women (11, if you count his wife, Elin Nordegren), including at least three with ties to Las Vegas.
The original suspected mistress, former Tao nightclub hostess and Turnberry Place condominium owner Rachel Uchitel, has denied an affair with Woods. Uchitel has retained raptor-like attorney Gloria Allred to represent her legally and, we suspect, spiritually. Others with Vegas links are Vegas cocktail server Janine Grubbs and Light Group VIP hostess Kalika Moaquin, who has worked at the Bank and Bare Pool Lounge. As my man URL, Ubiquitous Robin Leach, has been energetically blogging and tweeting, Woods has been known to chip around such Vegas fun spots as the The Mansion at MGM Grand, Bellagio and, we suspect, Binion’s.
Asked if this all doesn’t fly in the face of our city’s promissory slogan, “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas,” Goodman shook his head.
“No, it’s a great reminder that you can have fun in Las Vegas,” Goodman said. “Adult fun, that it’s a playground for adults. It’s salacious, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
Let’s see. “There’s Nothing Wrong With That” could be an effective ad campaign. Sort of has a nice ring to it … but not a wedding ring.
I don't know who coached Tiger on how the system works, but I can guess, and I'll give you a two letter hint:
MJ
My published articles are archived at iSteve.com -- Steve Sailer
His problem is hubris. He seems to have thought nobody would find out. WHY he thought this is difficult to understand. But I guess if you are given an absolutely ridiculous sum of money (why does he deserve such wealth?) and enough people kiss your ass you start to think you are invincible. The guy thinks just making a few vague and ambiguous statements on his website will make this go away? Hard to believe..
ReplyDeleteMalex Jodriguez?
ReplyDeleteI won’t condemn Tiger for his moral failings. It must be hard when you have a great big pile of cheddar and the shorties shaking their stuff in your face 24/7. It would be mad-hard to hold back even if your main squeeze was Beyonce. That said there is an entire industry of discreet professionals that caters to the sexual desires of the super-rich and these women never kiss and tell. Tiger was crazy-stupid to play with amateurs.
ReplyDeleteFrom the perspective of a 20-something guy: MAD props to Tiger. What exactly is the point of making a billion dollars and being a rich, powerful, jacked, and good-looking dude at the top of your game...if you don't get to sleep with every hot woman in sight?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the point of f-u money otherwise? Yes, go ahead and reproduce and have a marriage for the cameras. But a thirty year old woman after pregnancy and a ring is never going to be half as worshipful -- and fun -- as a 20-something to whom you are a god.
At least Tiger wasn't like Clinton, who squandered his position on Lewinsky.
Relatedly...one thing a lot of older guys don't realize is that today the hotter your wife/girlfriend is, the more you *need* to make her jealous in order for her to realize how lucky she is to have you. Have you ever dated an 8 or higher? Then you know this in your bones, or will learn it the moment you leave your girlfriend alone at a table and come back to find some random dude hovering over her. That's life, it's unfair, women are passively hit on and have plausible deniability for everything.
Tiger's only mistake was in marrying a blonde with some fire in her rather than an Asian woman who would have understood so long as he kept it discreet.
Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, and Magic Johnson walk into a bar...
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteI would venture to say a fellow Auburn University graduate taught him a lot as well - Charles Barkley.
You are right about MJ though. I think over time we will find out he was forced out of the NBA for a year because of gambling debts.
Any wagers on when Tiger rejoins the Tour? I bet he won't tee off in 2010.
I wonder if MJ coached Tiger in divorce lawyers, divorce settlements, and Cuban girlfriends.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of the story is that one of the women is a porn star who starred in such movies as "OMG Stop Tickling Me." Part of me hopes she's never even met him and is just inserting herself (so to speak) into this scandal to command a higher price for her next feature, which will inevitably pair her with a Woods lookalike.
ReplyDeleteNine holes he should have stayed away from.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of hubris, have you checked the Foreign Policy Top 100 Global Thinkers?
ReplyDeleteAs you can imagine, the usual suspects are vastly overrepresented; I counted no less than 12* of them.
* just kidding.
ReplyDeleteClearly, these aren't great romances; a lot of them are pros, or at least dedicated amateurs.
ReplyDeleteThis is a statement that leads to my question: Since when did we begin calling any woman who is banged by a man a "mistress?" Perhaps this is some feminist upgrade that went over my head, but I don't get it. Mistresses were "kept" women, that is, the man paid for her room and board, in order to have primary access to her. If he banged a girlfriend or two outside of this arrangement, they were not described as his "mistresses." When did this terminology change?
I fail to see what the fuss is about. I sort of assumed this is what he was doing all along, and accepted it. Didn't everyone?
ReplyDeleteI mean, is the gold-digging wife (maid to half-billionaire) any better than Tiger? Did we really believe this was a fairy-tale romance between two upstanding traditional characters? It is to larf.
His problem is hubris. He seems to have thought nobody would find out. WHY he thought this is difficult to understand.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. This is the puzzler, but it makes me think of Bernie Madoff. Can't you just see him, handing over his life to fate as the years rolled on, since he knew he could never, ever meet those monetary obligations, because enough money would just never be there to pay off everyone. So, he watched this truck bringing doom, slowly making its way towards him.
Perhaps this is how it was for Tiger. He had to know that word was slipping out about his shenanigans, yet he was inexorably caught up in something he just couldn't cease.
Maybe he rotated back and forth between worrying about what might come down on his head and that male exuberance: "Goddammit, I'm a man, and I can do whatever I want to do. Why should I let some woman (wifey) control my life? After all, she's getting what she wants, isn't she?" And then perhaps the next day he's back to worrying again.
And so, Tiger, like Madoff, let fate take its course.
Deadspin has a good article on exactly how it does work in Vegas.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with the first @anon post. Apparently El Tigre didn't learn a few lessons from MJ: use protection, stay out of public places and be a control freak when it comes to your situational awareness (cameras, passing out drunk, etc.). Like @anon said, hubris. I assume all of this went down around the 2001 Atlantis trip with Barkley, Jordan and A-Rod as reported by the Daily Mail. Fascinating stuff.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this Deadspin post is informative. http://deadspin.com/5416948/chaos-in-tigerland-a-deadspin-investigation-into-the-sexual-habits-of-pro-athletes?skyline=true&s=x
ReplyDeleteAnd this link at the end of the piece, which explains EXACTLY how the Vegas system works opened my eyes quite a bit.
http://www.blackbookmag.com/article/good-night-mr-lewis-beyond-tiger-woods-rachel-uchitel/13763
I once read an astounding figure (years ago) for the percentage of women in LV who engage in prostitution. Anyone else seen that number?
ReplyDeleteWhat I really want to know is precisely how much he was spending on them, what did they get financially out of it all. It wasn't just in return for a meal at a restaurant, was it? Or to burnish their groupie credentials? He has plenty of money to throw around as he sees fit, and they knew that. Anyone notice that most of these women have vague job career descriptions, much of it sounding rather unpromising?
ReplyDeleteI had Tiger pegged as too bright to think that 1) such hanging around with bimbos wouldn't eventually be used by the bimbos when the time was ripe and 2) his exploits and MJ's would be synonymous in the eyes of the public.
ReplyDeleteBack to #1--for God's sakes, at least one of the women has hoarded hundreds of emails and we know, of course, about one of the voicemails because we HEARD it already. I would never have figured Tiger to be so dumb as to have left a trail like that ...and there appears to be more tawdry evidence he left behind that will leak out bit by bit. If he manages to plug all the leaks, and that's not likely, he'll only be able to achieve the quashing by forking out huge bucks, and even then, the threat of blackmail will lurke forever. I feel stupid that I credited Tiger with having more brains than that.
I said it before, and the first poster on this thread has offered another explanation--hubris, but what is it that hubris trumps, after all? Intelligence. Logic.
Back to #2: MJ's gambling and other exploits were known by sports' fans, but hey, golf is not basketball in our cultural sphere, and basketball fans are different than golf fans ( take a look at the women in the Masters' galleries), and in the public's eyes Tiger was not "like Mike." No one may have mistaken his family-man status as comparable to Jack Nicklaus', but few would have suspected him of being like so many other common bb players.
So, the tour has a problem, it seems. The Icon is more Rodman, Iverson, Barkley, MJ than Nicklaus, Mickelson, etc. Heck, if he were simply a Faldo, who dumped two wives, it wouldn't be as bad as this.
I still think that there are drugs involved is some of this behavior.
I'm waiting for the Michelle Wie scandal!!
ReplyDeleteAccording to this site, there are 11:
ReplyDeletehttp://entertainment.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/12/08/porn-star-joslyn-james-brings-the-number-of-women-linked-to-tiger-woods-to-11/
Isn't MJ still married? Tiger definitely needs his advice in that dept.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, "uchitel" means "teacher" in Russian and probably a few other Slavic languages.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I blame Tiger.
ReplyDeleteThese girls are expecting a pretty hefty payout for a roll in the hay.
What in the world happened to honest, hard-working whores?
michael jackson? who knew?
ReplyDeleteCall him Iron Tike.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be very difficult for Komment Kontrol to decide where to draw the line in this thread.
ReplyDeleteMoo ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!
Oscar Goodman... a former mob lawyer...
ReplyDeleteA little off-topic, but may I assume that everyone here is aware that Richard Ben-Veniste is the consigliere to Al Malnik, who runs the remnants of the old Meyer Lansky crime syndicate?
Ben-Veniste was called in for disaster management on both the Senate Whitewater Committee and the joint 9/11 Commission.
These guys come out of a long tradition of white collar crime - in the late 19th century and early 20th century, the most famous criminal lawyer in America was a certain Emanuel M Friend, whose acquaintances [undoubtedly] included the likes of Fredericka Mandelbaum, Lena Kleinschmidt, Maximilian Shinburn, , and Adam Worth or Werth [upon whom Sir Arthur Conan Doyle based the character of Professor Moriarty].
"11, if you count his wife, Elin Nordegren": you heartless bastard. Heh!
ReplyDeleteDamn straight it is MJ, but don't forget the even more disgusting CB.
ReplyDeleteJordan and Barkely were Tiger's mentors-Tiger used to call Jordan his big brother. MJ and CB are two of the single most disgusting people on the planet. Stipper/whore chasers and serial adulterers whose transgressions were always covered up by the media. Pathetic sports writers who all new what MJ and CB did (and do) and covered it up, and continue to do so.
And don't give me that 'Were no role model' CRAP! You sell your name, likeness, and advertise and you have put your ass out there as a role model. So 'F off.
I guarantee you when Jordan and Barkely fist heard of the incident they laughed their heads off. "Our boy got caught-he shizzled when he should have pizzled. But it is no big deal because the media will cover it up." I guarantee you Tigers reaction was the same at first. 'F-off bitch, I'm Tiger Woods".
Another exquisite and telling sign was the immediate rush to the scene of agent Steinberg. This is exactly what Warron "Family Man of the Tear' Moon's agent did when he got caught by his wife. Hero Moon bought one of his stripper/whores a new Lexus. The dealership made the mistake of delivering it to his house and his wife answered the door. "Hi Tiffany/Dakota/Montana, this is Mark from Lexus with the new car Warren bought you." Moons wife took a baseball bat to the car. Moon got home and then beat his wife silly. Cops and media rushed in but the agent Steinberg got their first and before you know it-"She slipped on a bar of soap!"
Tiger is pathetic and disgusting and so is that pos caddy of his-Steve Williams-the Most hated man in sports.
I hope this woman takes Woods for millions and I also guarantee you some assistant D.A. is looking to make a name for himself-let's all pray so!
Also-to Hell with NIKE-they bear a lot of blame to the hood-ization of sports. I hope they lose their shirts as well. And while were at it, maybe a D.A. will look into Jordan's hilarious 'retirement' from basketball.
Other than that-hey, life is great, the weather looks good and I might play 18 later today....
Michael Jackson? No wonder he's looks to be so screwed.
ReplyDeleteI hardly think he needed Jordan to tell him how to find poontang.
ReplyDelete-broodrack
I don't know who coached Tiger on how the system works, but I can guess, and I'll give you a two letter hint:
ReplyDeleteMJ
Michael Jackson? LOL!
Uchitel has retained raptor-like attorney Gloria Allred to represent her legally and, we suspect, spiritually.
ReplyDelete"[R]aptor-like"? What, does she eat rodents?
When I first saw "MJ" I was thinking "there's no way Michael Jackson was cruising for cocktail waitresses..."
An interesting thought: would a guy doing all of this sinful stuff really balk at taking performance enhancing drugs?
ReplyDeleteMJ was never 'discovered' or had a much more tolerant wife
ReplyDeleteClearly, these aren't great romances; a lot of them are pros, or at least dedicated amateurs.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with dedicated amateurs?
How 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' is actually true for privacy-conscious celebrities is because of the privitization of public space.
ReplyDeleteIf you're walking or driving on the public streets of New York or Los Angeles, you're fair game for any paparazzi who wants to stalk you. Even if they cared, the police can't ban someone from taking pictures on a public sidewalk, say, in front of a nightclub.
However, since casinos are private property, management can and do ban paparazzi from stepping foot on their property. Its not foolproof, camera phones and tabloid journalist willing to pay mistresses for interviews and/or photos are what's killing Tiger now.
Hmmm, maybe the solution is requiring everyone who wants into a party with celebrities in attendance must sign a reality show-style confidentiality agreement. Typically, contestants on shows like The Bachelor agree that if they disclose confidential info-- like who the winner is prior to broadcast-- they owe the producers $5 million or more in liquidated damages.
His problem is hubris. He seems to have thought nobody would find out.
ReplyDeleteGeez, what "problem"? He's had sex with several women while being married. Is that a crime in todays America? There's an odd Victorian vibe about this whole silly non-story.
In other shocking developments, a new study finds that rock stars have sex with lots of groupies. Stop the presses!
Michael Jordan. Were they really that close?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of MJ, Tiger certainly shares his taste in women. In fact, there was a docudrama made about one his lady friends, Kylie Ireland. Much like Audie Murphy in "To Hell and Back", Ms. Ireland played herself in the film, "Face Jam".
ReplyDeleteFor the first time on DVD! This classic Kylie Ireland movie, Face Jam, was based on her real-life one night stand with basketball superstar Michael Jordan.
NSFW link, but easy enough to google if you wish.
MJ?
ReplyDeleteMagic Johnson?
Michael Jordan?
Michael Jeffries?
I don't see hubris as the problem. MJ hasn't had trouble keeping his womanizing quiet. But perhaps he refrains from text messages.
ReplyDeleteIt's not clear that these ten were simultaneous; has anyone done a timeline yet of the various claims?
Steve, this is kinda beneath you dude. We don't know if any of these "women" are telling the truth.
ReplyDeleteAny two-bit White skank can get her 15 minutes just by claiming to have slept with Tiger.
DO better, next time.
Actually, the count is now 12 mistresses, and one wife. More are expected to come out soon.
ReplyDeleteHis mistresses include two porn stars (one confirmed to be a part time escort), one party girl (also linked to David Boreanaz of "Bones" and "Angel" TV shows -- Boreanaz was apparently having sex with Uchitel the party girl while his wife was pregnant). The Grubbs gal, who was also a reality show contestant (I think VH1's "Tool Academy") was also a short-time mistress of George Clooney according to some reports.
The rest however, fall into two categories: waitresses (including one IHOP waitress near his Orlando home), and various female semi-celebs, including one married Brit news presenter.
Various e-mails and text messages from Woods and mistresses are leaking, back and forth, because the Enquirer and other tabs are paying big money for them. Various disparaging comments about Wood's wife from Woods, some fairly explicit language, references to illegitimate kids out there, abortions, etc.
Tiger is done. His sponsors will simply slowly drop him, one by one. First, he's a joke (on SNL, no less, along with Conan and Kimmel and Leno), and a figure of ridicule. No sponsor wants that as their image. Second, he's a permanent tabloid target. There is NOTHING he can do, because he is now like Jennifer Aniston, and Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie, a subject of permanent interest to the women who consume gossip rags and thus the gossip rags themselves (which are the few media outlets actually making money).
Third, and most important, he is revealed as a fraud. The "image" of Woods was of the good-guy, "un-Wilt Chamberlain Black Athlete" (in one racy text message to Grubbs, Woods calls himself Black) who is 100% Wholesome, apple-pie, mom and the Flag. He's known to be a total phony and a fairly nasty, cold guy who has a harem of mistresses plus his wife.
Woods can certainly earn money on the tour as a Golfer, but his endorsement days are done. He pretended to be something he was not, and is caught out. [The parallels with Obama are obvious and being made constantly.] As a Golfer, he'll be the subject of ridicule and laughter, not the "role model" aspirational stuff he pretended to be.
More and more stuff will come out: even more mistresses, payoffs, bribes, threats, icky sex stuff, a series of alleged videos, pictures, and so on. He's a joke like Michael Jackson, Clinton, Elvis, and other figures of unrestrained appetites people laugh at.
Anonymous said... Geez, what "problem"? He's had sex with several women while being married. Is that a crime in todays America? There's an odd Victorian vibe about this whole silly non-story
ReplyDelete(Another) Anonymous (or maybe the same one) said... Steve, this is kinda beneath you dude. We don't know if any of these "women" are telling the truth.
According to the new moralists it's immoral to talk about immoral behavior even though the behavior is not really immoral to begin with. I'm morally confused.
***He's a joke like Michael Jackson, Clinton, Elvis, and other figures of unrestrained appetites people laugh at.***
ReplyDeleteYou must live a very sheltered life if you think that a rich & famous sportstar sleeping around is big news.
Pinker had an excellent article about Clinton which may apply here too.
":Why do so many famous men gamble their reputations, their careers, and their marriages on reckless sexual encounters? It's hard to believe the "James Bond" theory, that men crave the esteem that society bestows on the dashing stud. Men try to conceal their liaisons, not advertise them, and when they fail, their reward is ridicule from Leno and Letterman, not the respect of a nation.
Perhaps the political process selects rapscallions who thrill at defying the conventions that govern the rest of us. Or perhaps, as Henry Kissinger said, power is an aphrodisiac. But the simplest explanation may be that our leaders and celebrities show ordinary male appetites in extraordinary circumstances...
Most human drives have ancient Darwinian rationales. Fear of heights kept our ancestors from plunging off cliffs; a taste for sweets kept their bodies fueled. Sexual desire is no different. A prehistoric man who slept with fifty women could have sired fifty children, and would have been more likely to have had descendants, who inherited his tastes. A woman who slept with fifty men would have had no more descendants than a woman who slept with one. In the Darwinian game, men should seek quantity in sexual partners, women quality: a source of protection, resources, and good genes for her children....
But if politicians and celebrities have standard-issue male libidos, why do they seem to have so much more trouble controlling them than the average Joe? One reason is that for the average Joe, the issue is moot: he won't find eight women willing to sleep with him in the following two years, and he never has to worry about attractive women propositioning him out of the blue. Only in special circumstances are sexual partners freely available, and only then will male desire yield ridiculous numbers. Imperial despots, who could get anything they wanted, kept harems of hundreds of women. Gay men, who don't have to compromise their desires with womens', sometimes find hundreds or thousands of partners. So can a contemporary heteresexual men if he is sufficiently rich, handsome, and powerful. Kissinger has been proven right about women. A survey of thirty-seven countries found that women virtually everywhere say they want wealthy, high-status, and older partners; surveys of personal ads tell the same story. That is why homely rock stars and octogenarian oil barons can marry gorgeous supermodels, and it is why powerful male politicians may face temptations that most of their consituents do not.
There may be another reason that political leaders are different. Incredible as it may sometimes seem, the male brain houses more than a sex drive. The human mind is a committee. The libido must contend with a mind's eye that simulates the consequences of different acts, an oddsmaker that reckons their likelihood, and a conscience that represents the interests of other people. Usually the libido gets shouted down before it can push the buttons of behavior, and if men commit adultery it is only in their hearts. But in some men, the internal debate may have a different winner. Anyone who has what it takes to rise to the top of a cutthroat profession -- say, getting re-elected president -- is likely to be a risk-taker, a strategist, and a moral utilitarian who reasons that if no one finds out, no harm has been done. And such men, of course, also have the power to skew the odds in their favor. But probabilities are probabilities, and luck can run out.
So are leaders and celebrities more concupiscent than the average man? Perhaps fortunately for the average man, he will never be in a position to find out."

Tsk, tsk! TW needs to hang out with better role models - maybe John Daly?
ReplyDeleteRemember a few years back when a blonde in a skimpy bikini ran onto the course during a tournament and kissed him? He said something like, I could tell she wasn't intending any harm but gee it was embarrassing. She must have slipped him her phone number.
ReplyDeleteIceberg Slim.
ReplyDeletekeep in mind the 3:1 fire to smoke ratio which applies in matters of sex. If 9 or 10 mistresses materialize, then figure the true total is 30. It sounds like a lot, but you have to remember Magic and Wilt, modern Ghengis Khans, had like 500 or 1000 scores or more (don't quote me, did Wilt claim more than 1,000?). Also, some of the smoke here seems "instant fling" rather than "long smoldering passion", suggesting a general approach to women consistent with a high total. At a certain point, Tiger will come to the conclusion that it's part of who he is and more important than his marriage, with a resulting divorce, but a less expensive one than you might think.
ReplyDelete"I don't know who coached Tiger on how the system works, but I can guess, and I'll give you a two letter hint:
ReplyDeleteMJ"
Mick Jagger!
Victoria, that was an outstanding observation. Yes, we cannot call these women mistresses but we can call them escorts, if you want to be polite.
ReplyDeleteIn the Eliot Spitzer scandal, in addition to the revelation some women charge $2,000 an hour, it came out that models, actresses, and other good looking women were paid to go on vacations with rich men, and now we now what that arrangement looks like.
Maybe Tiger is Client #4?
I'm amazed that no one here or at VDare has complained about an immigrant woman coming to America, get citizenship just by marrying, and who about to abscond with tens, if not hundreds of millions of American dollars back to her her home country which she was obvbiously most loyal to anyhow.
ReplyDeleteWhere's Brimelow? Where's Dobbs? Where's the INS?
And most importantly, how come no one here has complained?
Could it be...
don't quote me, did Wilt claim more than 1,000?
ReplyDeleteHe claimed to have had 20,000 women. Not really sure how he kept track.
"Also-to Hell with NIKE-they bear a lot of blame to the hood-ization of sports."
ReplyDeleteRight-o.
As I understood things, Tiger grew up thinking of himself as multiracial with an emphasis on his Asian ethnicity because of his mother's cultural influence on him.
When Nike got ahold of him, they realized that the multiracial angle would work in theory only: they figured, probably rightly so, that one look at him and the average person would call him black since we've a habit of pigeonholing everyone as either white, brown, black, or Asian.
They played to that and his color was set, so to speak, when they decided to skewer Fuzzy Zoeller, who didn't deserve the treatment Nike and Tiger gave him.
I feared then that Tiger had no character. He went along with Nike and threw Zoeller to the wolves for a harmless comment that Tiger didn't really take offense to in the first place.
I am shedding no tears for Tiger even though my husband and I are avid golfers. From the get-go, he was given a free pass by the networks with his profanity and club-throwing. Can you think of another golfer who has so little control of his mouth when he knows the camera is on him?
"Various disparaging comments about Wood's wife from Woods, some fairly explicit language, references to illegitimate kids out there, abortions, etc."
ReplyDeleteIf these kinds of things get out and there is any kind of evidence of such things, you are right--he's done.
All we need now is a gay angle--Tiger does Adam Lambert.
ReplyDeleteWhen nineteenth century English gentlemen -- though some just recently elevated from the trading classes -- institutionalized the concept of sport, they had no idea of the harm it would eventually do to society. As a tribute to that gentle age, I'd like to present what is probably one of its finest and final moments , Bannister v. Landy 1954 . Unfortunately accompanied by superfluous music -- but the interviews at the end are a must.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that no one here or at VDare has complained about an immigrant woman coming to America, get citizenship just by marrying, and who about to abscond with tens, if not hundreds of millions of American dollars back to her her home country which she was obvbiously most loyal to anyhow.
ReplyDeleteAre you saying she planned, or at least saw coming, Wood's serial hook ups with low IQ tramps, and nefariously put herself into a position whereby she could profit from them?
She must be clairvoyant.
Personally, I think she is probably a brainwashed (by her left-wing 'integraton minister' mother) self-hating white girl.
Also, desire from multiple women gives a man an additional vibe which is (in the Soros sense) reflexively attracting of even more women. I can tell you right now there is nothing more attracting than your body language and general disposition when you know there are multiple sexy chicks in your hip pocket. Not only does it bring more women to you, but (by raising your estimate of your own value) it relaxes your instinct to faithfulness toward a true love interest, resulting in the maximum temptation. (For women, multiple likings seems to increase selectivtivity, but not so much faithless instinct).
ReplyDeleteSure you could catch 22 on this, but you can get the opposite virtuous (from the male perspective) circle. Work for that vibe, swap the usual male phoniness and pretension for genuine wealth or prospects, give women about an order of magnitude more space than you might think they need, and be genuinely affectionate. They will melt fairly easily rather than give the cold shoulder.
Clearly Tiger picked the wrong mentors when he hitthe big time. Instead of Jordan and Barkley, he should have been hanging out with Will Smith and Sting. He'd have learned the importance of finding a wife who shares common interests.
ReplyDeleteActor and star of “Hancock”, Will Smith has told a UK tabloid Now magazine that he and Jada Pinkett-Smith don’t fight their attraction urges, and are down with an open marriage.
He told the UK’s Now magazine, ”I’ll tell my wife if I need to have sex with someone else.”
http://streetknowledge.wordpress.com/2008/07/14/will-smith-says-jada-ok-with-his-swinger-ways/
STING’S wife has revealed the sex-mad rocker loves raunchy swinging sessions...
Even famous shock jock Stern was taken aback when she told how the former Police frontman invited women home for threesomes.
She said: “It’s rock 'n' roll. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do?

And most importantly, how come no one here has complained?
ReplyDeleteProbably because hot women can get away with almost anything. Would I begrudge Hally Berry the same thing? No, no I wouldn't, especially in her prime.
Fair play to this platoon of skanks. Any one of them could have dropped Woods in it before now but they kept quiet until it all unravelled, now of course its every girl for herself.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Whiskey.
ReplyDeleteAs bad is this is for TW, it could have been worse: he could have been married to a black woman and cheated on her with all these white women.
I wonder if marrying a Scandinavian goddess was really the best choice for him image-wise in the first place. They always looked incongruous together. It was a very black thing to do. He should have married a Mariah Carey or Tia Carrere type.
One reason is that for the average Joe, the issue is moot: he won't find eight women willing to sleep with him in the following two years, and he never has to worry about attractive women propositioning him out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is the reason for so much of the anger expressed towards Woods in this forum. Half of you men sound crazed with jealousy, even nuts. How stupid it sounds to question the occupations of these women and then to ridicule them. As if a man who has the opportunity to be pleasured by an eager, well-endowed woman should care about her being the president of, say, Hewlett-Packard or IBM. If he managed to land such a being, who was a frigid number, but had a high IQ, what is he supposed to do with her? Sit on the side of the bed and chat about Big Issues? Is that what he's there for? Has feminist indoctrination come this far?
All men dream of having the options of Woods, without consequences. Every man would like a way to do it without the news of it intruding into his normal social circle or possibly disrupting his livelihood. That article about Las Vegas and the role Uchitel plays in arranging coupling makes sense. It sounds like a rational system, and this is probably how even ordinary men handle things. How this all got out of control for Woods is something yet to be learned.
[The parallels with Obama are obvious and being made constantly.]

He went along with Nike and threw Zoeller to the wolves for a harmless comment that Tiger didn't really take offense to in the first place.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about this. When that episode took place, I was naively certain that Tiger and/or his father would speak up in defense of Zoeller, to the effect that he's a jokester and perfectly harmless. I felt that since Tiger had rejected being pigeonholed in the usual black fashion, and had called himself a "Cablinasian," actually thumbing his nose at blacks, that he would not allow himself to be forced into playing that typical pouting race grievance role -- that he would be a man. But he proved that he was not magnanimous at all. In fact, I thought he was a creep for keeping silent day after day as that incident played out in the media.
"Victoria said,
ReplyDeleteAnd this is the reason for so much of the anger expressed towards Woods in this forum. Has feminist indoctrination come this far?"
I don't see this and this is an extremely odd point of view for most women, even liberal ones; some are jealous, others defend Tiger, and still others oppose what he has done because it is immoral.
Especially odd to see the slur "frigid" used which I've only heard from liberal men who hate virginity, which is the vast majority of the time, and then women who are uber-sluts.
Steve is still apoplectic that Goodman, a MOB LAWYER, is mayor in LV.
ReplyDeleteIn Las Vegas that's a feature, not a bug. LV was in every way a better town when the Mob ran it. I'd love for mobbed up labor unions to control it again. I might even move back.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteRemember how you chided the law student Joanna Jagoda for breaking up with Tiger instead of marrying him? Looks like she showed sound judgment.

ReplyDeleteBy turning down $300 million and a chance, after divorce, to do whatever and marry whoever the hell she wanted? Seems to me that Elin was pretty damn shrewd all along. Perhaps she knew that Tiger couldn't keep it in his pants.
Personally, I think she is probably a brainwashed (by her left-wing 'integraton minister' mother) self-hating white girl.
If she didn't plan it or see it coming,t hen maybe she just had her eyes opened in ways her liberal mother would never understand. A conservative is? A liberal who got mugged by reality.
According to the new moralists it's immoral to talk about immoral behavior even though the behavior is not really immoral to begin with. I'm morally confused.
ReplyDeleteThe problem seems to be in your own mind and not that of the people you're talking about, rather foolishly I might add.
Is "wealthy sports star sleeps with a lot of women" really a headline in America in 2009? Far from being immoral, it's practically expected.
I wonder if Obama himself keeps a harem of whores and strippers.
ReplyDelete> desire from multiple women gives a man an additional vibe <
ReplyDeleteMore women hit on me after I got married - and my ring was conspicuous - than at any other time in my life. (No, I kept my tiger tail in my pants.)
It's like the ring from Lord of the Rings or something.
Married men look good to some women, billions of dollars or no.

ReplyDeleteIsn't the number up to 11 now?
... this is an extremely odd point of view for most women,
ReplyDeleteOdd point of view for a woman. So a woman cannot be objective and even clinical about Nature. Understanding the forces that drive things does not mean you want it so. I understand that polygamy is the most sensible marital arrangement for men, due to Nature's imperative for them, yet this does not mean that I'd like to be part of a harem.
I wonder if Obama himself keeps a harem of whores and strippers.
ReplyDeleteIf he does, then I sincerely doubt they're female.
... because it is immoral ... liberal men who hate virginity ... women who are uber-sluts
ReplyDeleteWhat silly terminology this is for an intelligent person to use. When societies set up systems that are in such opposition to Nature, as monogamy is, you better believe that what you call "immorality" is going to result. In terms of "fidelity," it sure hasn't worked to a large degree, either throughout Europe, here, or anywhere else. Centuries come and centuries go, and what we end up with is serial marriages. Sky-high levels of divorce, most of which is due to extra-marital affairs, has now become expected. Of course, divorce for this reason, that ultimately breaks up children's homes, is outrageous, and ought to be outlawed.
Every woman, no matter who she is, lives with the knowledge that she can never be certain -- even our ever-so-holy Evangelical types.
By the way, where is there a man who would "hate" a 20-year-old virgin? I didn't know this about liberal men.

ReplyDeleteGod, it's depressing to listen to darwinian nihilists talk about marriage.
Sorry Gents, I had to go on a business trip and corresponding with you was quite low on my priority list, so school is back open.
ReplyDelete"But I guess if you are given an absolutely ridiculous sum of money"
He was not "given" anything. He won money in golf tournaments, and companies invested in him expected a significant return.
"Woods can certainly earn money on the tour as a Golfer, but his endorsement days are done."
You're joking...right?
I can see him endorsing a brand of condoms.
ReplyDeleteWhen societies set up systems that are in such opposition to Nature ...
ReplyDeleteContinual war, human sacrifice, and slavery used to come naturally to many many peoples, so I take it that Victoria also thinks that one ought to act naturally with regard to war, human sacrifice, and slavery?
... In terms of "fidelity," it sure hasn't worked to a large degree, either throughout Europe, here, or anywhere else. Centuries come and centuries go, and what we end up with is serial marriages. ...
Because the old morality is no longer enforced.
Contemplating women or alleged women such as Victoria, I implore: Where is the latter day Cotton Mather or Mathew Hopkins who will deliver us from this monstrous regiment?
No doubt much of the condemnation of Tiger is motivated by envy. There are a lot of men who would like to have as many women as Tiger does, and they are jealous of him.
ReplyDeleteTiger is not white, so why is it surprising that he does not believe in a white idea like monogamy?
ReplyDeleteMonogamy is a white concept, and it has been considered the norm in this country mainly becuse whites have historically been the majority. But as the white population shrinks, its influence will decline, and white values and attitudes will no longer be the norm. Eventually polygamy will be the standard practice.
