What's this world coming to? Strange phenomena are afoot as Republican politicians continue their mystifying recent trend (e.g., Sen. Ensign, Gov. Sanford) toward getting into sex scandals with women:
Rep. Chris Lee (R-N.Y.) has resigned from the House effective immediately, an announcement that came just hours after a Web site alleged flirtatious behavior by the congressman online. ...
Lee's decision to vacate his Upstate New York seat came after Gawker, a gossip Web site, posted a shirtless picture of Lee that it said was part of a correspondence between the congressman and a woman who was not his wife.
OT
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of politicians and women, has anyone noticed that the sour-faced UK Labor Party leader Ed Milliband is not married to the mother of his two children? That's a little hard to believe.
Are you trying to be ironic, Steve?
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to be ironic, Steve?
ReplyDeleteMeaning this wasn't Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Mitch McConnell, or the Prince of Darkness himself, Lindsey Grahamnesty?
PS: Keep an eye on Marco "Pretty Boy" Rubio.
He may be next.
Dude has some serious gaydar issues.
A testament to the ego amplified stupidity of politicians in general.
ReplyDeleteIts because unlike the neocons, the tea party actually has balls...
ReplyDeleteWas going to say, this is totally Whiskey bait. Lee is a millionaire Alpha (he reps my parent's district), just doing his part to get a little on the side. He's obviously a handsome guy (no-Homo!) who takes care of himself, what's wrong with showing it off and getting some validation for it?
ReplyDeleteA shame he didn't he didn't learn that anonymity is really the better part of (ill-)valor.
republicans are hounded out by sites like Gawker, while clinton literally gets away with rape and God knows what Obama has done and is doing because the left has practically deified him.
ReplyDeleteThe left plays much harder and tougher than the right, they have the hackers, (sarah palin's email, exposing G Bushes' grades- which turned out to be embarrassing since they were higher than Kerry's)
Another product of the complete and total feminization of our culture.
ReplyDelete"He's obviously a handsome guy (no-Homo!) who takes care of himself,"
ReplyDeleteNice chest for a guy his age, totally average face.
" what's wrong with showing it off and getting some validation for it?"
"What's wrong?" you ask. I'll tell you what's wrong. He has to have a brain the size of a pea or else he'd have figured out a way to get "some validation" without making an ass out of himself, his wife and family, and his constituents.
Validation? Jesus. What a dumb ass.
Steve is trying to say that all Republicans are gay.
ReplyDeleteHe's no Berlusconi.
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be in decent physical shape but the pose is as ludicrous as any "toe-tapping" could be.
ReplyDeleteAnd using the same email (or gmail or whatever) for his Facebook account and on CL makes him either too dumb to--or a bad little boy who wants Mommie to catch him with his hand in the cookie jar.
Either way, a total loser.
Republicans are more masculine than Democrats and are therefore more prone to skirt chasing regardless of their religious and ideological beliefs.
ReplyDeleteA related phenomenon is how white liberals tend to have lower rates of divorce and promiscuity despite approving of both, for the reason that they are more intelligent and thus live responsibly.
This is particularly difficult for me. About seven years ago I thought to get rich with the next generation of dating sites. As we all know now. It was not me but the authors of the "social" networks who got rich and had feature films made about them.
ReplyDeleteWhy wasn't it me?
I had a different idea. I tried to overcome the widespread mendacity one encounters on dating sites. Women for example complain that the men who advertise are not single as they claim but are actually married. My site would have remedied that. It would also have corrected the nearly universal tendency of people to take five years off their advertised age.
Had those venture capitalists not backed out at the last moment, my site would have launched and this idiot Congress critter would have been forced to be honest.
Albertosaurus
He should have toughed it out.
ReplyDeleteThere's no indication he cheated on his wife. He could pass it off as just flirting, and/or seeing how easily he could.
Your Majesty, as I understand, became entangled with this young person, wrote her some compromising letters, and is now desirous of getting those letters back."
ReplyDelete"Precisely so. But how --"
"Was there a secret marriage?"
"None."
"No legal papers or certificates?"
"None."
"Then I fail to follow your Majesty. If this young person should produce her letters for blackmailing or other purposes, how is she to prove their authenticity?"
"There is the writing."
"Pooh, pooh! Forgery."
"My private note-paper."
"Stolen."
"My own seal."
"Imitated."
"My photograph."
"Bought."
"We were both in the photograph."
"Oh, dear! That is very bad! Your Majesty has indeed committed an indiscretion."
"I was mad -- insane."
"You have compromised yourself seriously."
Sherlock Holmes: "A Scandal in Bohemia" on the dangers of photographs!
Tea Party'ers will bring fresh, heterosexual blood to the GOP. This story is proof.
