The popular sitcom Modern Family acts out the Venn diagram of why lesbians aren't gay from 0:30 to 0:55 in this clip.

  1. Speaking of which,

The co-captain of the US Women's Soccer National Team just got married in Hawaii, thus further confirming Steve's "Why Lesbians Aren't Gay" article. From what's publicly known about the athlete, she fits nearly all the checkpoints on the list.

  4. Well, as Nic Cage said in "Raising Arizona," "It ain't Ozzie and Harriet, that's for sure."

  5. Cam (to lesbian couple): "So, we'll be hosting. I assume you have an unfinished woodworking project taking up your whole house."

    That's gold, Jerry. Gold!

The writing on this show is great. It is also the #1 for voters of the GOP, I hear.

I heard some wag (Rob Neyer, dork-o-witz Baseball writer, huge lib) commenting he was forced to watch the Big Bang Theory, and looking past the horrible laugh track, he couldn't believe people found such stereotypes amusing.

I am sorry, Rob, but people playing to form is one of the funniest things imaginable, as this clip shows.

"Connor, if you open this door we'll let you have a hot dog!"

Children of lesbian parents seem to do a lot worse than children of gay parents.

  7. Damn, coming up on 20 years ago when that was the first Steve Sailer article I ever read back when I read words on pieces of "paper"*.

co-captain of the US Women's Soccer National Team just got married in Hawaii

Meanwhile the White star goalie recently married her abusing black boyfriend.

*an exotic yet one time popular material used for communicating and making aerodynamic devices for the amusement of the young.

  8. Boy, have you written a lot of great stuff in the past! If a mainstream publisher had the moxie to bring out an anthology of your best articles (minus the race/intelligence ones) I believe it would sell.

Another interesting thing about Abby Wambach and her fellow lesbians on the US national women's soccer team: she ALWAYS Scones up short in big games, and the team has never won the world championship with her on the roster. The Buffalo Bills were treated as a joke for losing 4 straight Super Bowls. Jim Irsay and others have called Peyton Manning a failure for winning "only" one Super Bowl. People called LeBron a choked for years before he finally won his two NBA titles. But does anyone call Abby or the other US lesbian soccer players "chokers"? Of course not. Their failures in the clutch are treated as a tragedy in the sports media.

  10. OT:
    http://www.isegoria.net/2013/10/new-orleans-and-school-choice/

"The share of New Orleans students proficient in math, reading, science and social studies increased to 58% in 2012 from 35% before the 2005 storm, state data shows.
(...) The storm killed at least 1,800 people and displaced about 65,000 students, mostly low-income African Americans."

They can´seem to connect these facts!

  11. Oh, Steve, thanks for that clip. It's hilarious.

Yes, gay men are much more likable than the lesbians, in the clip, at least.

However, gay Don Lemon of CNN and lesbian Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, both sarcastic, ill-humored, insane, and liberal, are the same unlikeable person. The only difference I've noted is that Maddow's IQ is likely quite higher than Lemon's.

Throw in Shephard Smith of Fox and at least you get a little light-hearted silly laughter.

You can throw in Anderson Cooper of CNN for the giggle mixed with some occasional serious outrage at homophobia and racism. (Katrina? Why, those racists were trying to ignore all those blacks in the Dome).

  12. The whole clip is hilarious. I gave up on network sitcoms years ago but that was good.

  13. OT, but Sailer-san:

British spat between a "outgoing Special Adviser to the Education Secretary, Michael Gove" and Steve Jones on the heritability of IQ.

  14. The show has gay guys down pat. Lesbians, not so much, at least in looks and dress.

  15. Well the DEMs [in the USA, and, worldwide, the Leftists in general] are definitely the party of the bulldykes - that's simply unarguable nowadays.

Are you working on furthering your thesis that classically it was the conservative institutions [USA GOP, UK Tories, Roman Catholic seminaries and abbeys] which were the natural home of gay men?

  16. I can't decide whether the titles of the shows "Modern Family" and its (now canceled) clone "The New Normal" are cynically conservative or Orwellianly liberal. Are the writers saying,

"Look how crazy our society has become,"

    or are they saying

"This is how things are now. You'd better accept it as the new status quo!"

  17. Breaking news: Norwegian national behind the recent terrorist massacre in Kenya.

He isn't called Olaf Hallstrom, Morten Lundtqvam or Bengt Jorgensen, in case you were wondering.

  18. Lesbians, not so much, at least in looks and dress.

Yes pretty glamorous pair. And so the myth is preserved. At least one of them should have resembled Pat.

  19. If "Modern Family" didn't have a gay couple, it would be considered a conservative show by critics.

    It's pro-marriage, pro-natalist, and pro-traditional gender roles (all 3 "wives" are SAHMs).

Both. There's enough humor directed at liberals and urbanites to make middle-America feel like it's in on the joke. But the victim group in question understands that the actual content of the shows is much less important that getting these characters and ideas out there so that they begin to be seen as normal.

I remember when all the Clinton scandals were coming out, and people said, "Look at the way these late-night talk show hosts keep savaging Clinton! They sure aren't on his side; so much for the liberal media." But they were on his side, of course. They were telling people that the scandals were too unimportant to take seriously, and ultimately that's what Americans decided.

Likewise, married gays, and now men in drag using women's bathrooms, are portrayed for laughs so they can't be portrayed as dangerous.

Another interesting thing about Abby Wambach and her fellow lesbians on the US national women's soccer team:

Time out, time out. There are NOT that many lesbians on the national team. Most of them are straight. The ones who are married are married to men. For the record there. Best estimate is that about 90% of the US national team is hetero straight.

she ALWAYS Scones up short in big games, and the team has never won the world championship with her on the roster.

One thing: Abby herself makes no excuses unlike the goalie. Aside from her lifestyle, she wants to be treated like a male athlete: Team first, work hard, no excuses and never embarrass the team publicly. She never bellyaches or makes excuses for her lack of winning. To be fair.

Aside from that, you're right. Of course, the national team HAS won GOLD in the last 3 Olympics so it's kind of a standoff.

  22. So sad that Wambach is off the market :). If Morgan or Solo married another chick, that would be more interesting news.

Solo is off the market too. Of course she's starting to look more bulky hulky so she's not all that compared to Alex Morgan in the looks dept.

Alex Morgan could pass for Kate Middleton's younger twin sister or fraternal cousin. She may also be off the market.

    But both are definitely straight.

Exactly right. As the old saying goes: There is no such thing as bad publicity. All of it tends to have a normalizing effect. The campaign for normalization of polygamy proceeds apace too (though not pushed as heavily as homosexual marriage/parenting).

  25. Yes, gay men are much more likable than the lesbians, in the clip, at least.

Before AIDS, homosexual men used to be fun to be around. But since since homosexuals got serious about politics, they have become just like lesbians, but with less body hair.

The blonde in the clip reminds me of a friend I used to hang out with on nights my ex used to hit the dance clubs with her gay co-workers. My pal was less surly, fresher faced, and worked as an SFX/compositing supervisor in post production, but it was West Hollywood. She enjoyed impolite conversation involving all modern taboo topics more than most guys I knew out there. Perhaps she felt she could get away with it because she was a twofer and it's fairly obvious that I'll gladly drop one in the punch bowl in the presence of disingenuous and sanctimonious SWPL.
