Of course, we can expect that the useful idiots will scream that we should pour money down the hole in trying to educate them so they can keep the economy going ...

Computer Software engineers are going away. Anything that can be outsourced to India will be, the remainder will be H1-B indentured servitude or back-door H1-Bs via new laws such as the one Congress passed allowing Grad students to stay on in the US for a number of years, working.

As for RNs, they are being filled by cheap Filipinos. Mostly though not exclusively women. It's just not a paying proposition for anyone not Filipino -- social networks crowd out natives just as they do in Software Engineering. Particularly since H1-Bs and Filipinos are Affirmative Action preferred for EO.

The political fallout from this I'll leave to the imagination.
