Mortgage Lending Industry Strategic Markets & Diversity Conference

All these years after the mortgage meltdown, most well-informed Americans have yet to hear about the existence of the mortgage diversity industry. The number of activists and academics employed by the mortgage diversity biz isn't huge, but it's not insignificant either. And it has a major impact on molding reporting on mortgage and diversity issues. Since all the self-proclaimed experts are rewarded for promoting more lending to the diverse, we get a one-sided view. This industry's conventions don't rival AIPAC's wingding, but they're not insubstantial

Dear Steve Sailer:
The Lending Industry Diversity Conference and ComplianceTech are pleased to announce Bank of America as a Silver Sponsor of the 6th Annual Mortgage Lending Industry Strategic Markets and Diversity Conference to be held in the Washington, DC area on June 22-24, 2011 at the Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel, Arlington, Virginia (Ballston Metro stop).  The Strategic Markets and Diversity Conference is a one of a kind forum for candid discussions on the interplay of workforce diversity, multicultural marketing, and how housing policies and practices influence minority homeownership outcomes. The bank has been a strong supporter of the conference for each of the past five years.  We thank Bank of America for its display of leadership with regard to mortgage industry diversity and homeownership opportunity for all Americans.

The hot topic is Rep. Maxine Water's Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which requires hiring lots of diversity compliance officers who will then funnel money to others in the diversity industry.

And there you have it - in a nut-shell, everything that's wrong with modern America.A parasite's parasite, but a parasite that unfortunately has total executive power.

none of the above said...

Successful systems attract parasites.

Is that conference for real? I thought it was a parody.

"Diversity reception?"

Something tells me it probably will resemble the party scene from "Trading Places" in Billy Ray Valentine's new house. Which ended up with the newly well-off host yelling "get the fuck out!"

So, are you giving a keynote address or not? :-)

hey, how come you never complain about welfare (aka 'subsidies') to midwestern farmers or the fact that in general many of these states receive more federal money than they pay out?

could the demographics have something to do with it?

Their spam generator needs some refinement, since it sends emails to their opponents. There must be an algorithm collecting IP addresses from any website mentioning diversity. I am also on that mailing list.

Lets call it the diversity-industrial complex.

Apples and oranges, Anonymous 8:07, but in general fair enough: let's cut it all out. Farm income will be record high this year by a ways, but make book that the next Farm bill will be even bigger to keep pace with every other bleeding hole in the beast.

This is a depressing thought.

When was the last time that farm subsidies crashed the world economy?

( . . . crickets chirping . . . )

Steve doesn't talk about farm subsidies because they are by far the least of our problems right now. The diversity racket is literally killing our civilization and disingenuous white liberals blow a gasket if you point this out. This is the world we live in.

How come you never complain about the current slave trade in Africa?

Anyone in corporate America during the past 20+ years knows that stuff like this conference is ubiquitous, entirely typical, even wallpaper. What surprises me is anyone's surprise over it.
