White Male Privilege

From the Daily Dot:
Justin Anthony Knapp.
The bearded and bespectacled former pizza delivery guy from Indianapolis, Indiana is a pretty extraordinary wikipedian. Last week, Knapp, 30, became the first person on the site to reach 1 million edits. He’s done it by spending “several hours” every day on the site. Knapp’s never received a cent of pay from Wikipedia and is currently unemployed.

while most whites thought it was unhealthy to bathe and fought over relics of dead saints.
... and built cathedrals to house them in that surpass in beauty anything an oriental has done or will ever be able to do. "

That is a matter of taste but no one had denied the beauty of the cathedrals.

None of this was my point, jeez I thought you white people were rational and logical, when did you become so touchy?

... and created universities and scientific method (both based on Christian theology) that surpass anything orientals have done or will be able to do, ever."

I guess Europeans had invented the crystal ball too because apparently you can see in to the future!

... and created art that surpassed anything orientals have done or will be able to do."

Paintings yes...sculptures,monuments...meh

.... and ended infanticide which is still common among orientals."

And introduced abortion ,a pre emptive infanticde, thanks for that, I guess thats the more "humane" approach.

"I say we should all invest a lot of time in really criticizing these bozos! On the Internet! That'll show 'em! ;)"

That's right the white boys at Walmart and the ones at Apple are all mini Wozniaks, Jobs, and Sam Waltons. Everyone one of them.

Whatever.

I don't mind whites living in dream world, as long as whites (at least the minority that seem capable) recognize that they live in a dream world. Facilitates communication with the real world. The REAL world which is in fact populated by a large majority of non-whites.

"I'm tapped out, but I think the women here have reasons for offering a dozen (at least) apologies. "

LOL, it's funny that it's men that have to apologize for not rolling out the red carpet for women, and then watch in bemusement as the triumph over patriarchy is celebrated once the field has a substantial number of women.

Even the few dissenting voices are only defending themselves instead of asking women to be more self-less.

"Anyway, the East India Company was a trade monopoly, not Tamerlane bent on rule-by-destruction"

and compare that to the much more benevolent USG under which US education system has given america a secret weapon i.e. foreign scientists

"And I'm not even Christian. I am not "gloating." Just stating a fact. Footbinding in China -- a torture perpetrated on about 80% of Chinese girls by 1910 "

a torture perpetrated by their mothers. And how dare a man change what women like to do?! Like FGM in africa.
and today women undergo surgery besides breaking their heels in heels.
If there were no anaesthetics, how much would those surgery numbers change? It's the social construction of beauty leading these poor dames to silicone!

".... and ended infanticide which is still common among orientals.""

and gave them abortion, and now are horrified that they are being gender discriminatory!!
Orientals are being dragged into the 21st century, alright. Feminism is already making waves, and homo marriages are on the way too.

"First of all the university is the product of the middle age Christian europe."

At its peak, the university attracted scholars and students from as far away as Tibet, China, Greece, and Persia.[4] Nalanda was ransacked and destroyed by Turkic Muslim invaders under Bakhtiyar Khilji in 1193. The great library of Nalanda University was so vast that it is reported to have burned for three months after the invaders set fire to it, ransacked and destroyed the monasteries, and drove the monks from the site.

You might also wanna read this of a student of an earlier 'university':

Truly radical 'Machiavellianism', in the popular sense of that word, is classically expressed in Indian literature in the Arthasastra of Kautilya (written long before the birth of Christ, ostensibly in the time of Chandragupta): compared to it, Machiavelli’s The Prince is harmless.
—Max Weber, Politics as a Vocation (1919)

However,

It’s here that we find an ideological divergence between the two schools of thought propounded by Chanakya and Machiavelli. In the Indian tradition, artha or material well-being is always subordinate to dharma, moral well-being, and is a mean to achieve a higher goal in life. Although Chanakya does not mention this categorically, the preeminence of dharma over artha is central to Indian philosophy.

Anyway, India is a good place to watch how multiculti, multiracial, multiethnic, multireligious utopia plays out with democracy.

Look, I said I didn't have anything against the guy, and that I hope he'll figure out how to lead a happier life.

All the harsh things said about Knapp's dating prospects and the reasons behind them were not in response to the article. They were in response to the ridiculous assertions that Knapp's assumed romantic/life situation is somehow the fault of a decaying culture rather than his own. From what I can tell, it wasn't women who brought the question of the dude's marriageability into this discussion.

Hey, it's rude to call Gabby Sidibe fat out of the blue. But if some femenazi would rant that Sidibe is just as sexy as Megan Fox, and the young men who disagree had been corrupted by the racist, sexist media, there'd be nothing wrong with setting her straight. This is no different.

"Were they [Japanese] Westernized only when they did good things such as a progressive view on womens fashion but also when indulged in mass rape, genocide and slavery.Or do you attribute the latter habits to Asiatic savagery alone?Just curious."

I don't know. You tell me.
While you're at it, dig up any progressive technological and/or human rights sorts of achievements made by Asians of any geographic orientation, east, west, near or south between 1500 and 1900, and dangle them out there. We'll see who bites.
Clue: you can find growth of religious and philosophical movements in these places. Putting aside outworn and corrupted religions like Islam and Hinduissm (who had their big day), those are the major contributions of Asian societies pre-mid-20th century.
